Best experience in New Orleans! - If you're planning a trip to New Orleans, you absolutely *must* take a tour with DeAnna! She was, hands down, the highlight of my entire trip. Her knowledge of the city's rich history is incredible, and she effortlessly weaves in captivating ghost stories that give you a true sense of the spirit of New Orleans. What really set her apart, though, was the fact that she comes from a long lineage of local families, giving her an intimate, personal connection to the city that you can’t find anywhere else. DeAnna made the experience feel like stepping back in time while still keeping everything fresh and engaging. If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend booking a tour with her—she is a national treasure!

! MUST BOOK ! The Soul of New Orleans in One Guide - If you’re planning a trip to New Orleans, make sure you book with DeAnna DuPont—she completely transformed our experience of the city. We first met her on a ghost tour through the French Quarter, and within minutes, it was clear she wasn’t your average guide. DeAnna is deeply rooted in the city—her family has been here since the 1850s—and that lineage shows in the way she carries the stories. She doesn’t just share history; she lives it, weaving together fact, folklore, and personal insight with effortless charm.
She’s a gifted storyteller—witty, warm, and deeply knowledgeable. Ask her anything and she’ll light up with thoughtful recommendations, from where to eat to the best hidden corners of the city. She even connected my mom and me with a tarot reader who gave us one of the most memorable readings we’ve ever had.
We were so impressed, we booked a private Garden District tour with her two days later—and it was just as captivating. She also happens to be the Director of Tourism, which explains the polish, but it’s her passion and generosity that really set her apart.
I would never return to New Orleans without reaching out to her again. DeAnna is not just a guide, she's the soul of the city.

Deanna is a treasure! - Deanna was very knowledgeable and informative! French Quarter Ghost Tour with DeAnna - DeAnna was an incredible tour guide for our group tour. She's from a family that has lived in New Orleans for multiple generations and has a personal relationship with the city and its history that brings credibility to every story she told us. She's a wonderful story teller, too! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour!

The best walking tour that we have ever been on! - We went on a private walking tour with DeAnna & it was worth every penny! DeAnna’s tour had so many interesting facts and tidbits that we didn’t want the tour to end. My family would love to take a second tour with her to hear more of New Orleans fascinating history.

Ghosts of the French Quarter Tour - Charmaine was very informative and we really enjoyed our tour!! Our kids are 17 and 14 and really enjoyed the tour as well!

Hauntingly bad - The stories were boring and the tour was rushed. It was too loud to actually hear anything. There were multiple tours within a few feet of each other.

Underwhelming and Unimpressive – A Ghost Tour You Can Skip - I’ve been on several ghost tours in different cities, but this one was by far the worst. The Ghosts of the French Quarter Walking Tour by DuPont and Company was a complete letdown.
First off, the guide was incredibly hard to hear, even though we were in a small group. They seemed to rush through the stories without really engaging the group, and the historical details were shallow at best. It felt like they were just reading from a script rather than telling captivating stories about the area.
The tour itself was poorly organized and didn’t include much of the actual French Quarter. We walked around aimlessly with little to no interesting stops or views to take in. The ghost stories that were told felt incredibly forced and unconvincing. The supposed haunted locations were underwhelming, and I felt more like I was on a walking tour of New Orleans than a spooky experience.
To make matters worse, the company seemed disorganized, with a lack of communication about where to meet and when. The whole experience felt rushed and unprofessional. For the price, I expected far more than what was delivered.
Overall, this was a huge disappointment and definitely not worth the money. There are plenty of other ghost tours in New Orleans that offer a more engaging, entertaining, and informative experience. Save your time and money for something else.
