Great information on Jazz history at a fairly fast pace - The statues in Armstrong Park were beautiful, and Harris, our tour leader was very knowledgeable about Jazz history as we hiked down to Frenchmen Street, where we heard some good Jazz at La Maison. The problem we had with this tour was "pace". We got a late start because the tour leader was delayed, so the pace sped up once we left Armstrong Park in order to get done on time. This was very hard on my wife, who is 77 years old and uses a cane; she cannot walk very fast, so we were always about a block behind the main group. Two friends of Harris were along for the tour and they occasionally checked to see how far behind we were, or to point out broken pavement, but they were mostly focused on their own conversation rather than keeping track of us slowpokes. I recommend the tour for the quality of the information provided (the tour leader sent a text with a lot of supporting information he provided during the tour). Unfortunately, we didn't hear some of it first hand because we couldn't keep within shouting distance. So if you can walk at a decent pace, this is a great tour. If you can't you might want one that's more targeted to people who need a slower pace.
