Highly Highly Recommend Plantation and Swamp Combo Tour - This was probably our best day visiting New Orleans. JoAnne and Melinda were so welcoming when we first got on the bus. The hour bus ride didn’t even feel like an hour since JoAnne had such great information and history on not only New Orleans but the whole swamp and bayou. She also pointed out other plantation houses along our route and things to look at. The plantation visit was beautiful and informational. I would highly recommend doing the conversation with the docent on slavery. He was so knowledgeable and gives you so much more information than I ever thought about. Swamp tour was great too! We saw plenty of gators and other wildlife (we went in March). Overall it was worth every penny and spending the full day combing the plantation and the swamp tour!

Amazing change of scenery outside of New Orleans - Our guide was both informative and tremendously funny. He was so personable, that the time went by so quickly. We could’ve spent another hour. On top of that, the wildlife was abundant. We saw a dozen alligators, wild pigs, raccoons, birds and turtles. We’re able to pet a baby alligator and learn a lot about the local ecology. We went here in connection with the Oak Alley plantation tour (also terrific). The juxtaposition of the two experiences was incredible. I highly recommend this tour if you want to take a little time out of the heart of New Orleans.

The Oak Alley Plantation... - The Oak Alley Plantation tour was interesting but the 3 hour time frame for this part of the day was too long. The swamp boat/alligator tour was GREAT! Captain Tom was very entertaining and informative. The wildlife we saw included, of course, dozens of alligators of all sizes, turtles, wood ducks, wild pigs and more. This part of the tour was well timed, interesting and fun! If you’ve been to a plantation before just take the swamp/alligator tour, if not then plan on a full day with this tour.

Great day trip! - Wonderful tour! The bus was nice and clean, the driver was very knowledgeable. The plantation was beautiful- the on site restaurant was fantastic! Loved Captain Danny and the swamp tour as well, wished that had been even longer. Great day, well worth the money.

Great experience and worth it! - This was an amazing experience! And worth the price. They were really knowledgeable about the history and kept you entertained throughout the trip. There is enough leisure time as well to explore the Plantation on your own, relax and take in the views. The swamp boat ride was pretty cool as well, we got to see lots of alligators, raccoons, and wild boars!

A definite Yes - Our first stop was Oak Alley Plantation. The Grayline bus was comfortable which was a good thing because the trip took about an hour. Kate, our guide, talked the whole time. Unfortunately, being at the back of the bus we couldn't hear her so we didn't get in on any of her knowledge. The plantation was beautiful. The tour included the main house, slave quarters and a little video about the sugar cane. There is also a little gift store with sandwiches and such. The the tour guides inside the house were very knowledgeable and interesting. Our second stop was at Cajun Pride Swamp Tours. This part of the tour was so much fun. Although there was probably 40 people on the boat we had no problem seeing and hearing it all. Brandon was our guide and he was a hoot, very entertaining. We saw lots of alligators and other critters. At the end of the tour Brandon introduced us to his "baby" Jimmy, a tiny alligator that he raised from an egg. We even got to hold him. So cool. I would recommend this tour to anybody, any age.

Plantation Nay..Swamp Yay - Joanne was very knowledgeable about everything but the constant talking got to me by the end of the long long bus ride. If we had gone to a closer plantation that part of the trip would have been worth the time As it was, the plantation part was a bust But the swamp boat ride was almost two hours of excitement and pleasure with Tom feeding alligators, wild boars and possums right off the boat

Oak Alley and Swamp Boat - We left from the river front however we’re unable to be returned there due to a parade we were dropped off way across town Kate was very informative on the way there and back and I enjoyed her suggestions. The swamp tour could of been better as far as the distance from the dock but the captain was informative and funny and got the gaters up and moving saw coons and hogs and other wildlife. All in all it was a good experience just a long walk after a 8 hour day but we watched some of the parade on the way
