Amazing tour and tour guide - I had an amazing experience learning about the history and family tree and the creels. Learning about how the slaves lived was also very exiting. This couldn’t have happend with our amazing tour guide Derek that was funny and honest. He gave us advise about our trip and made it more fun and made the bus ride exiting.

Grandpa's roots. - Wanted to visit a sugar cane plantation because my grandfather was born and raised on one in the late 1870's. The tour was very informative and interesting.

Oak Alley Plantation Tour - Wonderful Plantation Tour. Larry “Bam Bam” is a wonderful driver and guide! The plantation gives you a glimpse of anti-bellum South Louisiana. It was great to get out of the city for a day. Our docent, Ann, was informed and informative. Great way to spend a day.

Loved this tour!! - We were not able to visit Oak Alley because it was closed but the tour company call us and scheduled us for Houmas House and it did not disappoint! Our tour Renee was so knowledgeable. We had plenty of time to tour the plantation, walk around the gardens, eat and get a beverage at the bar. Incredible experience that did not disappoint!!

Do not recommend Cajun Encounters Tour but the OAK Alley is beautiful and worth a visit. - I was not warned earlier that the tour would also stop in another "Plantation" - if I wanted another would have sought for it - on the way the driver wanted to induce those who did not contract the two tours to do them (with additional cost) - I did not want - and yet we had to go take those who hired and wait for them - prolonging the program unnecessarily. As I wasn't informed before, I found it bad. I ended up hiring a shuttle to pick up at OAK Alley before. I did not like the lack of information - the OAK is beautiful and worth it but NOT through this provider (Cajun Encounters Tour). In addition, he was with a child and the driver made inconvenient comments about drinking and marijuana.

Awful, horrible, terrible - This trip was truly terrible. Please note this trip is run by Cajun Encounters, not Viator. I selected this trip because I had read reviews of other people missing the pick up window and I didn’t want to have that worry on my vacation. As per my picture, we arrived at the pick up location at 9:36am for 10am departure. When we arrived there wasn’t a bus so I called the company. They said they had just tried calling me (my phone didn’t ring) and the bus had waited 15 minutes for us and then left. The customer service agent continued to argue with me for several minutes until I asked her what could be done. She told me there was another pick up at 10am and maybe we could make that stop. It probably would have been best to start with this information as my husband and I called an Uber and were able to make it to the final stop at 9:59. Oak Alley was beautiful, we had a wonderful relaxing time. They told us to be back at the bus by 3pm. Naturally, we were on the bus by 2:45pm and the tour bus driver counted the number of passengers twice and then pulled away at 3:03pm. However about half way thru our trip back to New Orleans the bus seemed to turn around. We drove all the way back to Oak Alley because we had left 2 passengers there. We didn’t get back to New Orleans until 5:45pm. Please find another tour company to take you to Oak Alley if you choose to visit.

Extremely disappointed ☹️ - Be ready to hang out by yourself doing nothing for at least 3 hours. This tour consist in driving you to the oak alley plantation and thats it. The guide leave at 11:00am and pick up you back at 3:20pm, the tour inside the house last 30 mins. What the dont specify in the description is that if you dont purchase the option to visit Laurel (another house) you will need to wait for the people who did, because is the same bus for everyone. Save your money and go with someone else, don't matter if it's a little pricier
