Above and beyond amazing. - Our guide was amazing. Stayed as long as she had to to answer every last question and we left feeling that we had taken a brief yet through intro course. We are so grateful.

Smashed Misconceptions - Overall walking distance is less than a block but tons of wonderful information packed into this tour - breaking all the misconceptions! Congo Square, ancestory tree, and the Site of Maria Laveaux’s Former homestead and more all lead by a High Priestess.

Illuminating experience - I wasn't 100% sure about going on this tour, but thought maybe it would give me an interesting perspective on New Orleans' history. It certainly did! It wasn't at all hoky, and provided a really fascinating look at New Orleans told by a black person from their point of view. It was the most enriching thing we did on our trip and we are so glad we did. It bears no relation to the commercial, touristy version of Voo Doo that's presented on Bourbon St.

Fun, Informative, and Engaging Tour - This tour was absolutely amazing. I am already well acquainted with the topics that our tour guide discussed, but the connections they made to New Orleans brought everything into perspective. Her ability to provide information while make the story so engaging is truly a gift. I appreciate this experience so much, and I will book another when I return.

Very informative - Lovely tour very informative. As a yoruba lady from Nigeria, her historical description of the gods and the religions were apt. Very fascination to see how global our religion and culture is. Would definitely recommend.

Wow - Eshé was amazing. The tour takes you around the park (it is not a lot of walking) the main draw is learning history, stories and personal experiences from a legitimate priestess who is perfectly eloquent and fun and whilst referencing history also manages to draw context to today to help you understand. This is the opposite of a tacky, tourist trap this is legit knowledge sharing and enlightenment. Ps bring your own drinks and there is no loo as it’s in the park. It is mostly shady but if you’re not a sun person, an umbrella may help in the heat

Incredible and Insightful Tour in Congo Square - Eshé was a fantastic guide through Congo square! We were honored to have her share her knowledge regarding the history of the area and help us better understand the practice of Vodou. If you’re wanting to know more about the actual history/practice/culture of the area and Vodou, I would highly recommend this tour. Esheé was also very conscientious of the hot weather, frequently checking in to make sure we were okay and offering places to sit in the shade. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
