Lantau Island tour - Lantau Island is beautiful and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Buddha is incredible and definitely worth seeing. Angela was a great guide and helped us get around.

Great Solo traveler experience - As a solo traveler this was a great tour . My tour guide was Grace who was exceptional. She was very informative , very attentive and helpful . From the time of receiving confirmation, providing detailed instructions on how to get from accommodation to the meeting point, the tour itself and getting back to our starting point. Grace ticked every box and went above and Beyond my expectations. She is an absolute delight and made the tour so much more enjoyable. I loved visiting Tai O and the Buddha. Highly recommend this tour.

A must in Hong Kong - A must when in Hong Kong. Cable car journey and the view were amazing. It can be very long queue so go early. We went on Wednesday and around 11 am. It was HK$270 for standard and HK$360 for the Crystal Cable Car!

Great tour! - Grace was a great tour guide. She was punctual, knowledgeable, friendly & funny. Glad I read another review saying cable car admission is not included in the package & has to be paid for separately or I would have been surprised, as that was not made clear in the tour description when I booked.

Great view, but overpriced. - Our day started at the meeting point at MTR station. We had to text our guide Ben the night before several times to confirm the pick up time. Pick up was confirmed as 1030, however we did not actually leave until almost 11am as we were waiting for other guests. We then took a bus ride to Tai O fishing village. The transport is a public bus which the guide pays for. It was very cramped and took around 45 minutes. Ben then shown us around the village & explained the history, very informative. Snack and water were available & we also had a short boat ride included. We then took another public bus to Big Buddah, again the guide pays for this. Very cramped like the last journey, but this only takes around 15mins. Upon reaching big Buddah we walked around as a group with Ben explaining various things. The group then took lunch together, again this was included in the price. This included veg noodles, spring roll & dumpling. After lunch we had approx 45 mins free time to go up to the top of the Buddah. We decided not to take the public bus back with the group & opted to pay extra to take the cable cars back down. The views were amazing and well worth the ride. Overall, we had a good day. However, I do feel the trip is very overpriced & could easily be done independently without an organised tour guide.

Way too commercialized - Horrible lines…really bad. Over an hour to ascend and over half hour to descend. Cut in half if you buy more expensive tickets, Get to big Buddha and find trinkets and T shirts. Buy coffee at Starbucks or sandwiches at subway store. That’s just chain stores…local stores too.
