Amazing experience - My husband and I were very pleased with hiring the Empire Vacations service. We took this 2-day excursion, which was a very incredible wealth of knowledge. We visited Washington, Philadelphia and Amish Country (the tourist attractions are in the description on the company website). But it was a completely different view from the ones we usually have when traveling. We know the history of the United States, but in a light and very pleasant way. Our guide, who I dare write the pronunciation of her name in Portuguese, 'Terrilla', was sensational. She welcomed us so well during the two days of the tour; very kind and cheerful. If I could choose, I would recommend her for the tours. Only my husband and I spoke Portuguese in our group; the rest spoke Spanish and only one member of the group spoke Hebrew. Then, our guide communicated with us in Spanish and Hebrew. It was easy to understand Spanish. We went by bus from New York to Philadelphia, which was the first stop. Then to Amish Country. We shared the bus with another group, who spoke another language and had a different guide. But it didn't hinder communication with our guide at all. At the end of the first day, we checked into Crowne Plaza, Dulles International Airport. We loved the hotel very much. The company even pays attention to hosting. The hotel is very comfortable, with a very good breakfast and food options around as well. But we chose to have dinner at the hotel; very good food. On the second day, we woke up early and headed to Washington, DC. It was an incredible experience; both days of the tour. I highly recommend the company. With the exception of our stay in New York, which we think could use a little more organization. I found it a little messy when boarding customers. We almost got on a bus that went just to Washington, DC, on the instructions of one of the guides who were there. Luckily, we paid attention to the bus that had a sign stating that it was Washington and Philadelphia (two days) and we left the line for the other bus. Furthermore, very good service.

The object to be visited... - The object to be visited were so complete, and need more time to enjoy the tour privately. Fortunately we had a good Tour Guide who can translate into English in the middle of Spanish language.

Expensive trip with a lot of wasted time - We recently did the 2-days tour to Washington. There was only a few people on the tour, but as there were several bookings in different languages, we got to hear everything 3 times which was quite annoying especially as there were 2 guides and the explanation came simultaniously. Philadelphia was quite okay, the amish experience was literally 30 minutes without any serious explanation about their way of life. Afterwards we went to Washington, but as the hotel was about 45 minutes away from the city itself, there was no chance to visit the city during the nighttime. The evening from 6pm onwards therefore was quite long. On the next day we had 15 minutes to get breakfast and once in Washington there was a marathon, which the guides seemed not to know about. After 1 hour of useless bus rides we got to see the monuments. At around 7pm the excursion finished off in Manhattan. The time could have been used much better and more efficient.

New York, Philadelphia, Washington tour. - We requested an English speaking guide for this tour. Our guide did speak English but as there were approximately 38 Italian tourists on board he spoke Italian much of the time. I felt we lost out on a lot of information as a result. We did see the major sights but I thought the tour could have been so much more so I was very disappointed. I feel we should be reimbursed for this trip.
