Highlights
  • Gapstow Bridge - Pretty bridge with great views of the NYC skyline
  • Cop Cot - Pretty gazebo, home to thousands of NYC weddings every year. Easily accessible.
  • Bethesda Terrace - We stop by both Bethesda Terrace and the Fountain below. Iconic, great for photos and very easy to find.
  • Wagner Cove - Out-of-the-way gem of a spot with a gorgeous gazebo right on a pond. Incredible for photos and semi-private.
  • Bow Bridge - Famous bridge, great for photos of the NYC skyline to the west.
  • Ladies Pavilion - Another scenic gazebo, but not that private.
  • Shakespeare Garden - This really is a garden, winding up a secluded path, leading to multiple idyllic elopement and small wedding spots.
  • Belvedere Castle - High above the rest of Central Park, this teeny ‘castle’ creates a lovely backdrop for photos. You can get a nice breeze up there sometimes too.
  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Met is one of the most famous museums in the world. The tour ends in front of this beautiful building.

Celebrity Cruise ECLIPES A wedding Cruise ...June 9-16th - First time on the Celebrity Cruise Line Eclipes, part of Royal Carribean family which I have been on numerous times. This cruise headed by Captin Dimitris was so well organized, very clean and the service level was great. The boat Eclipes which left from Cape Liberty NJ, was not the biggest of ships, but still had a lot to offer for all including our grand kids. We left for Bermuda which was a very nice island and stayed there for 2.5 days. Very dangerous if you decide to rent a scooter roads are very narrow and had a lot of curves. Other ways to get around the island which we found the bes to get to the beaches was the number #7 bus. $10.00 got you an all day pass and you were not packed into those shutle busses for 7.00 per person but you are packed in. Most of the shuttles only wanted to go to Horseshoe bay beach which was beautiful but overly growded. I suggest you go to Jobson cove a spectacular beach with less people. If you decide to take the city bus ,be preparred to either have a daily pass or small cash since it cost $5.00 each was and women make sure you have a bathing suit coverup otherwise they wont let you on the bus. A few draw backs with the cruise was that late at night there was not any small bites shops to grab something after a night of drinking. As well as room service they charge a $9.50 service charge. Even though we had the premier drink package, which came to $70.00 a day, and still some things like exspreso was at an extra cost. As well as with the gelato area, which, on other ships are all inclusive. State rooms we had a veranda with balcony was nice but small. very clean but other ships we have been on, were bigger. Pools were very small compared to the number of folks on board. very disapointed with the...Also on the pool area we had to wait for bar service alot.. bartenders were swamed and wait service was ver slow even with some heavy tipping before we started the poolside day. Shows were OK, not the best as I have seen. BUT We were there for our kids wedding, we had it at the Blu Restauant and they did a fantastic job with the Captain doing the ceremony . Memorable experiance and well in budget. One cool area which was always busy was the Martini bar, a frozen bar top on the 4th floor which was a cool area to hang with friend. The other bars on the same floor that was great was the Jazz bar area and the casino bar area... Casino area was nice but not really a real casino and their rules are different. All and All a good trip/cruise for all. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
