Your informed guide will lead you around famed theatres that have housed some of your most loved shows throughout history. As you meander down Broadway, absorbing the signage, brilliant lights, and anecdotes of Broadway, you’ll experience the profound legacy of these revered sites. Additionally, your voyage will take you into Hell’s Kitchen, a neighborhood hosting off-Broadway theatres that debut the future stars of Broadway. En route, you’ll catch a sneak peek behind the curtain with a visit to a thriving rehearsal studio.
- This tour runs year-round and will proceed rain or shine unless such weather constitutes a dangerous situation. Please dress comfortably and casually in weather-appropriate attire. Wear comfortable shoes for walking.
- In the event of road or attraction closures, your guide will do their best to work around the obstacles or take your tour to alternate locations.
- The included visit to a rehearsal studio requires climbing 3 flights of stairs with no available elevator. Please be prepared for this, as opting out and waiting for the group outside will impact your tour experience.
- This is a child-friendly tour. Children under the age of 6 are permitted to join this tour free of charge.

NYC - Broadway behind the Scenes. - My daughter and I had a trip to New York city in December and both love musicals so booked in for the Broadway - Behind the Scenes Tour. Mickey was our guide and was so knowledgable. We learnt so much and Mickey was able to answer alot of our questions. A great tour if you like musicals and all things theatre!

Wonderful experience - We had an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of OpenJar Studios! Our guide was informative, engaging, and wonderfully patient with all of our questions. They shared fascinating insights about the space and the creative process, making the experience truly memorable.
What stood out the most was how the guide brought everything to life, making it accessible and exciting for all ages. My teen, who is usually hard to impress, said it was the highlight of our time in Manhattan!
If you're looking for a unique, inspiring experience, I highly recommend visiting OpenJar Studios. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get a glimpse into the magic that happens behind the scenes.

Informative & fun walking tour. - A.J. walked us around Broadway’s theatre district sharing stories and the history behind many of these beautiful historic theatres. He was fun, knowledgeable and moved us thru at a good pace for everyone.

If you like Broadway, do not miss this tour! - We took the Schubert Theatres tour. Brett, our guide, was over-the-top fantastic. Perfect in every way. The massive and wonderful amount of information was delivered with enthusiasm and passion. It was utterly fascinating. This is our third BUC tour and we would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Brett! And thank you Tim!

A Fantastic Insider's Tour of Broadway - Two friends and I had a wonderful time on this tour on Sunday, Nov. 10th. It truly was a "behind the scenes" glimpse of Broadway theaters, including the rehearsal space used by many shows. It offered each of us a chance to see what life is like for everyone involved in the world of Broadway productions. Our guide, Mickey, provided us with wonderful stories that made the tour both informative and fun. She was so personable and answered all our questions, going above and beyond to make our tour special! I highly recommend this!

Fab tour of Broadway - This was an excellent tour led by Jessie, who was really knowledgeable and interesting. We were 3 generations but we all loved it, aged 75 to 14! Many thanks Jessie.

Insider View of Broadway - The tour is very informative and concludes with a fascinating look around of Jar Studios. Mickey was a brilliant guide and answered all our questions really well. Being an actor herself, she had direct knowledge.
A great trip for anyone interested in Broadway.

Interesting Broadway Facts - We took our tour with Mickey. She was able to give us a lot of information about Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway. We learned a lot of interesting facts about Broadway theatre. Since Mickey is an experienced actor, she was able to give a lot of insightful information about being an actor in New York. She also pointed out various Broadway theatres during our guided tour.
One of the participants in our group asked Mickey how much an actor in the ensemble would get in a Broadway musical. Mickey told us she did not know. I did find this response disturbing in that she does know but she did not want to answer the question. Broadway salaries are all part of the union.
The studio that we got to visit had amazing views of Times Square. It would be great if we got to see someone rehearsing. Unfortunately, we just got to see empty studios. I was interested in actually going into theatres. Unfortunately, we did not go into theatres.
Although, I am not an actor, I am an avid theatre goer. I found this tour to be fun and informative.
