High quality, professional instructors - I am a repeat customer of NYC Photo Safari and I can wholeheartedly recommend their safaris to anyone serious about photography, whether you are a hobbyist, amateur or maybe even a rusty professional. Instructor Zim was a really pro and quickly knew where to start with me. I especially liked her three rules of engagement that were/are excellent guides to keep me focused and motivated. Brooklyn Bridge- a world of photographic possiblities - I had a really good experience. As an experienced photographer, who had been set in my photographic ways for the last while, I was challenged by Vim, the tour guide to think differently and try new things. She delivered on her promise to help me to see new possibilities, with the resultant spectacular images being evidence thereof. The Brooklyn Bridge offers so much to work with photographically and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good, eye-opening experience.

Informational and Fun! - Professional Photographer Zim is fun, personable and a wonderful teacher. My husband & daughter had digital cameras, so she explained the settings that work best in each spot. I take photos on my iPhone and she gave me great tips. She knows all the great spots to take photos on the Brooklyn Bridge and how to frame your photos to get the best results. Highly recommend her photo safari tour!

Another fantastic experience with NYC Photo Safari!! - Every time I come to NYC I do a safari with NYC Photo Safari. They're THAT GOOD. This time round I did the Brooklyn Bridge and had the pleasure of learning from Zim. She's has wealth of photography knowledge and is an excellent communicator. -- I've started listening to her podcast: The Helpful Photographer. I highly recommend both the safari experience AND the podcast!

Excellent Tour/Class - I highly recommend this tour/class. The guide, Zim, was an excellent teacher - I learned a lot both from the composition and the technical perspectives. In addition to being an excellent teacher, Zim was both highly personable as well as professional (she arrived 15 minutes early).

Best 90 minutes ever! Went by too fast! - Zim grabs your attention and keeps you motivated and challenged for the entire session. She gives 'assignments' to get you working. Regardless of your level of skill, she will give you tips and tools of the trade and the best advice ever for your taking your next photo up a notch in quality and beauty. Brooklyn Bridge safari - This was my 6th NY Photo Safari. This time I did the Brooklyn Bridge safari. Most of the photo safaris would be suitable for all levels of photography including cell phones and in fact on all but 2 of the safaris I've done, we have had all assorted types of cameras. Instructor Zim is great. She will give you an "assignment" ie. shoot this particular scene and then tell you how to improve upon what you shot. She will explain why something works or why it does not and spreads herself among all the participants to view everyone's photos for personal critique. The emphasis is on composition to allow the trips to be accessible to to all levels of photography. You will come away with a better understanding of how to improve your photos; concepts to think about that can be applied to any photos you take going forward. Had great time shooting with Zim - I took a bus from Albany to NewYorkCity just for this tour on July 1st and i feel it is worth the time and travel. I want to thank Zim because she answered all of my questions. She asked me what i wanted to learn today. i thought she asked me that question as a conversation starter or an ice breaker but by the end of the tour i realized she made sure i learned something new in what i intended to learn.She helped me add a new perspective of how to look at things. Thank you Zim. i wished the session lasted little longer because i was having fun learning.

Brooklyn Bridge At Night - This is a must for any photographer looking to improve their night time shots. Our instructor, Zim, was amazing. She is an extremely talented photographer who knows how to communicate her art. She's funny too. After a few general instructions, the rest of the evening was tailored to each individual in our group which ranged from beginner to intermediate skills. Zim asked what our goals were and then worked patiently with each of us to help achieve them. I learned a tremendous amount, got great shots and would do it again.
