In for a treat - I recently had the pleasure of participating in a photography lesson tour in Central Park, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we met our instructor, Zim, it was clear that we were in for a treat. Zim was not only knowledgeable about photography techniques but also deeply passionate about the beauty of Central Park itself.

A new way to look at Central Park - Had a great time on the photography tour. David our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the park. I picked up a lot of tips and tricks for creating amazing photos, and learnt a lot from him .Definite must do when in NYC.

Great Experience Rekindling My Photography Hobby with Zim - This was a really cool experience! Zim is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and not only knows how to take a great photo but can explain what makes it great and how to get similar results. I took some film photography classes in high school and wanted to get back to a hobby I used to enjoy but figured digital would be a more practical version. I signed up for the Photo Safari to gain a better understanding of how to use my camera effectively and get some tips to tweak my composition. Zim really helped me figure out the camera (and told me about all the better technologies that have developed since I bought the camera) and took the time to explain some of the more technical aspects of composing photos, which I found really fascinating. She broke it down in a way that was easy to understand and gave me practical tips I could immediately apply. I highly recommend this tour. I will hopefully be purchasing a camera made sometime this decade and can't wait to put everything I learned into practice!

Great experience with Zim - I had the most amazing experience attending a photography safari with Zim in Central Park! Her expertise and passion for photography made the session incredibly engaging and educational. She shared valuable tips that helped me see the park’s beauty in a new light. Well-led photography tour! - Nice tour of Central Park's center, centered around photography technique, since there were only two of us on that chilly autumn morning. Review photos were taken with a vintage-reproduction LLL 28mm 9e and a vintage-style Thypoch 50mm Eureka f/2. Look ma! No aspherical elements!

Amazing lesson with Zim! - Zim is awesome! I took the tour with my smartphone (iPhone 12 mini) as I don’t have a DSLR and just wanted to learn basic composition. She helped me take fantastic photos, and was very good at describing what exactly is right/wrong with each photo. Highly highly recommend! Only thing I will note is that there is not as much walking around exploring as I anticipated. This is not a bad thing - there are plenty of interesting shots to take in the area we were in, and we spent more time perfecting photos rather than travelling to spots. I was happy to explore the park on my own later to practice taking more photos :) Attached some photos from the tour, all unedited from my iPhone.

Great photo skills experience - Wow! Learned so much this morning. Zim was so patient with our complete beginner status and now we have solid skills to take home and practice until next time. Even with all the crowds around we learned how to take capitavtiing and beautiful photos.Completely recommend this tour. Will be scheduling again.

Wonderful experience - Vim was amazing and so knowledgeable! The power of Vim! We learned how to make our pictures express our visions. We loved Vim and the personal attention she gave us.

Super helpful and fun private photo Safari - My son got a new camera, but didn’t know how to use it, so we scheduled a private photo Safari with Zim. She taught him how to use his camera and then they ran around taking all kinds of different pictures, including LEGO minifig photography (which we learned is called macro photography), dog photography, landscape, photography, and portraits. She even brought a macro lens for him to try! My son had a great time and Zim was very patient and enthusiastic!

Capture a slice of NYC! - I had such a fantastic experience with the Manhattan Architecture Photo Safari that I booked another, this time the Central Park Tour. I was delighted to see that Zim was once again my instructor, and knew that my daughter-in-law and I would get many tips to make our photos of NYC the best they could be. I remember Zim being a Canon shooter back on my first tour. I am a Nikon shooter, and both my daughter-in-law and I were using differnt models of the Z series. Plus we were both shooting in different modes. Zim went through all of the camera menus, navigating each with ease, even though they were very different. Zim is a wealth of knowledge and experience, and can guide anyone, regardless of skill level or equipment. It is apparent that she loves her city, and wants her clients/students to share in its beauty. Zim helped us capture it, taking advantage of our camera's technology, while applying our new skills from the knowledge she shared. She has a wonderful personality, is an engaging speaker and a good listener. She heard what we wanted to get out of our experience, and challenged us to beome better photographers. I will take another safari, probably in the spring of 2025. What a wonderful way to see NYC, and take home photographic memories!
