First, we’ll begin at Bowling Green, marking the location where the very first enslaved Africans initiated the construction of the city’s infrastructure. Continuing onto the tour’s next phase, we’ll stroll up Wall Street to Federal Hall, concluding our excursion at the African Burial Ground National Monument.
Our tour covers roughly a quarter of the 80 sites documented in my book - primarily located south of the Brooklyn Bridge and to the east of Broadway. Unravel the richness of this African American history spanning 1625-1865 like no other tour can offer. We’ll identify the precise locations where Africans lived, labored, died, and practiced their religion.
