Laugh and cry with Leanne - Leanne is a force of nature whose strength of personality epitomizes NYC. Her fast paced tour enabled us to taste the history of these key monuments to the history of the US. She was brilliant, making us laugh and cry. Btw - You don’t need to physically train for the tour but it will help!

Renewing my knowledge of... - Renewing my knowledge of the Statue of Liberty and walking the hall and rooms at Ellis Island where my grandmother walked in 1917 as an immigrant from Barbados.

A beautiful day ... made by the best tour guide! - With only 1 day to experience these 3 sites we were delighted - no really impressed with our guide Leanne! Not only was she attentive to each of us who took a bit more time walking - she explained every single stop with care & animation, she told us the history we'd never had known of each location ... she's a true NY lover & shared her love of the cities history. Thank you for making our day amazing & beautiful.

Needed more time - Good overall, but the amount of time at each attraction is not accurately represented in the description of this tour. We signed up for the “tour” of all 3 sites. We had about 45 minutes at Statue of Liberty (which was appropriate), but only 20 minutes at Ellis Island (which was NOT enough time and way less than the 90 min described). I understand we could have broken off from the tour and stayed, but we wanted to continue with the guided tour. Of note- total tour time was 4 hours (not 5 hours as indicated in description). Bottom line, we felt rushed through.

Mixed Review - This is a tough one to review. There are 3 parts to this booking and experience. 1. The event description and booking. - The event description and communication from their offices lead us with many unexpected surprises. There was a lot of walking!!!!! - I would say probably 5-6 miles altogether and although it says it is a 4 hours tour it took 5.5 hours and this did not include the 911 museum, so I would say this tour is about 8hours. In NY EVERYTHING takes twice the amount of time. ALSO, it would have been helpful for them to explain in their communication that there is absolutely NO street parking in the Financial District/Battery Park and all parking is full by 11AM. If your tour is after 11AM you will need to park outside of NY City and Uber into your meeting area. If you are driving in I would suggest you give yourself 4 hours before your tour - NY traffic may cause hours of delay, which is out of your control. THIS information should be shared with tourists since they wouldn't know. We MISSED the tour it was difficult to get in touch with the office to reschedule. Missing the tour meant we were forfeiting over 600$. I do not know the receptionists' name in the office, but she was extremely rude, inflexible, and charged us a 30$ surcharge to reschedule our tour for 1pm same day. We were on time for 1pm - the tour guide manager (Ceasar) showed up and said there were no tour guides available and we would need to reschedule for tomorrow at 9am. This is after we paid 65$ for parking outside the city and 35$ to Uber in. When I called the office to let her know she messed up - she continued to be rude and dismissive. I asked her to reschedule us for 9am, and if she could waive the 30$ per person given that we were here on time and now were out money due to her mistake. She refused and hung up on me. 2. Tour guide. - Silver lining, Ceasar was AMAZING, so kind and generous. As you can imagine I was upset, but he stayed calm, de-escalated the situation, called a supervisor, and was able to get the 30$ surcharge refunded and rescheduled us for the 9AM tour. 3. Tour itself - The tour guide was also AMAZING and extremely knowledgeable - I can't remember his name. The tour does not include the museum pass and this was an extra 45$ per person. I assumed the 911 pool tour included the museum. I own that misunderstanding, but again it would be nice for them provide clear and concise description. Overall, the tour guide manager and tour guide receive a 5 stars - the rest is run as fast as you can. :) We travel a lot and book many tours through Trip Advisor and we have never run into these kinds of problems. Typically tours are very clear either in their description or communication after booking in order to help tourists have a successful experience. Not the case here.

Good Experience - The Tour itself was great, but the tour guide was a bit much. She had so much information about The Statue of Liberty I got tired of listening. I was excited about the views and she was more focused on us knowing history we learned years ago.

Viator tours is cheating - What it claimed to be included were not. It said Statue of Liberty entry tickets were included but we learned after there that it was not. Also other destinations were walking tours which was not mentioned. We thought it will be by bus. It was a complete cheating. The ferry is free so what was the $99 per person cost for?
