The tour begins at Astor Place, the historical center of Manhattan, where the Lenape gathered for centuries before European settlers arrived.

• McSorley’s Old Ale House - Kick off with a cheese plate and a beer at McSorley’s, the oldest continuously operating bar in New York. Abe Lincoln once drank here, and the place is filled with curios and artifacts, untouched since 1910.
• Triangle Shirtwaist Factory - Explore the site of one of New York City’s most tragic events, where 146 garment workers perished in a fire in 1911. This event significantly influenced labor practices in the United States and is a story every American should know.
• Washington Square Park - Washington Square is a frequent stop, where, if the weather permits, time might be spent relaxing on a bench, enjoying the atmosphere of one of the world’s most iconic parks.
• Mamoun’s Falafel - Mamoun’s, the first falafel spot in NYC, was opened in 1971 by a Syrian named Mamoun. Now run by his sons, this beloved eatery continues to serve delicious falafel to comedians, musicians, and students all day and late into the night.
• Winston Churchill Square - Churchill Square is a charming little park that many visitors and locals often overlook. A brief stop here is a must.
• Bleecker Street - Bleecker is bustling with bars, boutiques, and beautiful people. It’s not unusual to spot a world-famous face strolling by.
• Taco Mahal - This Latin/Indian fusion restaurant is owned by a woman with a Puerto Rican mother and an Indian father, and is staffed by a predominantly Nepali team. It represents the best of New York: innovation, tradition, and hard work. The food is unique, vibrant, and delicious, accompanied by great music.
• Stonewall National Monument - Whether stopping for a drink or enjoying the vibe at Christopher Park, the Stonewall is a must-see in the West Village. Now a national monument, it was the site of the pivotal 1969 uprising that sparked the modern gay rights movement. It’s one of many culturally significant spots in the West Village.
• Two Boots Pizza West Village - Not your typical New York slice, Two Boots is a lively and colorful shop with excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere. It occupies a space that once housed a lesbian bar that didn’t serve men, but today Two Boots is open to everyone. Interesting things happen here.
• Janie’s Life Changing Baked Goods - Pie-crust cookies. A charming spot.
• Marie’s Crisis - The night concludes at Marie’s Crisis Cafe, a delightful underground bar where guests can sing along with a live piano player to favorite show tunes. It’s a fun visit, even for those who aren’t Broadway enthusiasts.
