Great experience - Ludie gave us a very engaging and interesting tour of Harlem. The tour starts early but it's worth it! The service is very moving.

Top tour with a dedicated tour guide 👍 - Even though the start early on Sunday morning was not so easy, we can only recommend the tour. Our tour guide Ludi gave us exciting insights into the history of gospel and why Harlem was the "black capital" of the United States in the 20th century. We are now sitting in the church and looking forward to a great service.

Truly a privilege - It was a privilege to attend the church service, and we were made to feel very welcome. Touring Harlem was very interesting, and not at all what I expected. Our tour guide Alvin was friendly and interesting. It was also a treat to be escorted on a comfortable bus, given that mosTt of our week was spent on our feet!

Our guide was the stand out feature - Our guide Peggy was the stand out feature of this experience - very informative about Harlem, lively and entertaining without being in your face or trying too hard. She and the driver Lewis obviously had a great understanding and worked as a smooth team. We stopped to look around some interesting sites. The actual visit to the church was not quite what I expected. The pews were packed with busloads of tourists, behind a handful of parishioners. Music was provided by a choir, organist, a drummer with what seemed to be a full drum set, and solo singer. The audience was asked to stand for large parts of the event and join in at times.

American History & Black Music History - I work on Sunday and do not get to attend church. I went to this tour to hear a mass choir. We heard a 5 member praise group. The image in the advertisement shows a choir. I did like seeing where George Washington lived and Apollo.
