Fun and informative! - We did the combo walking tour of the High Line plus food tour of Greenwich Village with Jake as our guide. Jake was engaging, enthusiastic and loaded with tantalizing historical and mythical info about NYC! Despite the busy, noisy streets (it's NYC after all!), and miserable rainy weather, Jake kept us engaged AND very well fed throughout!I I appreciated that as an aspiring actor, Jake was able to "project" his voice above the city din so we didn't miss any of his fascinating tidbits! An exceptional and educational experience even for a native New Yorker like myself!

History and delicious foods of NYC - We went on a High line Food Tour with Claire recently. It was so much more than food. Claire had lots of interesting facts & stories of the development of this very impressive area of NYC. All the food stops were great, too. Our favorite was Bleecker Street Pizza where we had the opportunity to meet & share pizza with a grandson, Greg, of the founding owner. The pizza was so good that we returned the next day!

Fun and tasty way to learn about the city! - What a fun way to learn about a city! Although Cale wasn't a native, you wouldn't have known it from the breadth of his knowledge about the city. The food we had was excellent. His stories were fun, and he was very accommodating. Ask for Cale on Manhattan Walking Tours!

Must do tour and guide! - Cale was a terrific guide who knows about the history and quirkiness of the High Line and Greenwich Village. He should be an honorary New Yorker. We appreciated Cale and the company accommodating us. The food- and the stories behind the food were fun - and delicious! Wish we could have take those treats back home with us. Go on this tour and ask for Cale!

Discovering the invisible in NYC - When we go to a new city we walk. Tens of thousands of steps every day. One of the first things we do is find a grass roots walking tour to kick off our visit. To get a glimpse of the soul of the city and a locals view of where to go next, beyond the cliche tourist lists. Dave and his walk did just that. He pointed out all sorts of facts and history of the area that is invisible if you just walk and look by yourself. Detailed background of the visible structures and history of things you may not even look twice at. Thanks Dave and Manhattan Walking Tours S and A
