Exciting and unforgettable visit to the legendary aircraft carrier. Learning history differently! - It was wonderful to visit this legendary aircraft carrier, see all the exhibited airplanes and helicopters, mostly from after WWII and get a historical insight, including the first prototype of space shuttle from NASA. A bonus was the visit to/inside the submarine - Growler - which is the only submarine in the USA open to the public. Amazing to see these places, where people actually worked (and lived) for a few months at a stretch. Fascinating to see a Concorde as well. Learning history differently! Exciting and unforgettable!

GO on the INTREPID - The Intrepid is a great way to spend several hours. There are lots of planes, helicopters, submarine & a really nice museum. We also paid to sit in and learn about the Concorde, that was very cool too. Overall nice way to spend the day

Interesting Museum - The museum is a worthwhile attraction to visit at Pier 86. There a numerous exhibits in the hangar of the aircraft carrier related to the actual history of the vessel, space modules, helicopters, aircraft etc. A lot of interesting history. The simulators are in need of an upgrade and pretty disappointing. The deck of the carrier has numerous planes and helicopter exhibits to view, the Lockheed A-12 is disappointing and just doesn’t look realistic, a lot of the planes have their cockpits obscured and it takes away the realism of the exhibits. The carrier itself is looking tired and rusty and could do with a facelift, but very interesting. There is also an excellent submarine exhibit, Growler, with guided nuclear missile launch capabilities, excellent exhibit but queuing in the heat is not comfortable. There is also a Concorde exhibit, an extra ticket is required for a guided tour inside, still good to experience the actual size of the aircraft from outside. There is also an underwater and space shuttle (Enterprise) exhibit too. An interesting experience with plenty to do and see, it can take up a few hours of your day and worthwhile.

Not Worth It - I would like to have seen more of the ship. Bridge, flight deck, and hangar deck doesn’t truly give much of an experience.
