Highlights
  • New York City - Discover the hidden world of New York City’s Mafia crime families on this walking tour, complete with a full-sized cannoli that’s far superior to the usual tour offerings. Stroll through the lively and intriguing gangland areas of the East Village and Little Italy. Walk the same streets where notorious Mafia figures like Myer Lansky, Lucky Luciano, Joe Bonanno, John Gotti, and others conducted their secretive and lethal operations.
  • East Village - The tour kicks off in the East Village, where you’ll delve into the intricate origins of the Mafia in New York City and understand the hierarchies within each crime family, from the foot soldiers to the captains and the ‘Boss.’

Follow in the footsteps of legendary mobsters such as Lucky Luciano, Joe ‘the boss’ Masseria, John Gotti – the Teflon Don, ‘Vinny the Chin,’ and ‘Crazy Joe’ Gallo, as you learn about their lives and crimes.

  • St. Mark’s-in-the-Bowery Church - Uncover the prohibition history of Second Avenue as we explore this iconic street, visiting spots often overlooked by other tours.
  • Liz Christy Bowery Houston Community Garden - Discover the fascinating connection between this remarkable urban garden and the New York Mafia.
  • Ravenite Social Club/Former HQ Of Gambino Crime Family - Hear firsthand stories about the Gambino crime family and John Gotti, whose secretive operations were based out of this social club. Having lived in Little Italy from the era of Carlo Gambino to John Gotti, I offer unique insights.
  • Little Italy - Conclude your Mafia adventure with a delectable ‘dolce,’ a cream-filled Sicilian cannoli from the finest pastry shop in town. This beloved shop, nearly a century old, is owned and operated by our close friends and is a favorite among locals.
  • La Bella Ferrara - Savor the best cannoli from our dear friends who have been running this treasure for almost 100 years. We provide a large cannoli, not the typical mini version offered by other tours.
  • Chinatown - Visit the headquarters of the On Leong Tong and Hip Sing Tong as we delve into their violent history and their ongoing influence in New York’s Chinatown.

Amazing tour with Dennis - Thank you - Had a wonderful tour with Dennis! He was brilliant!!! Dennis is very knowledgeable regarding the past and present of Little Italy and the gangs! Great humour and very courteous! We got Ear buds were for sound quality while walking through the streets to not miss a beat over city traffic. The cannoli was great, because of the temperature we got a bottle of water as well. Great tour, fantastic guide! Highly recommend. Thank you Dennis!

Must- Not Miss Mob, NYC History, and Neighborhood Tour of Little Italy - The Gangs of NYC tour was AWESOME! So many great stories and walks around the places it all happened -the real deal. Our guide was thoughtful and interesting and personally familiar with the neighborhoods, mob families and their stories. Really a highlight - and I've done so many tours around NYC. Truly a must-not miss! And the Italian Bakery - La Bella Ferrara - at the end of the tour and their canolis were absolutely delicious!!

His authenticity and depth of knowledge kept the group engaged throughout the tour. The tour is at an easy pace and is appropriate for all ages. Superb - The tour was exactly what I was hoping for. Denis was brilliant, insightful, friendly and engaging. I couldn't recommend this tour enough, nor Denis, my man in New York! Mate, I didn't take you up on the offer to help out with sorting my wedding meal (we went to an Italian, obviously) closer to our hotel, but I really appreciated your offer- I was in a bit of a bind at the time of the tour. Hope you checked out Roberto Calvi :)

Mafia Commision was formed & the Ravenite - We got to see where the Mafia Commission was formed and where they met. We also got to see what used to be the Ravenite, where John Gotti held his meeting and the apartment that was upstairs where they had secret meetings in case the Ravenite was bugged, but little did they know the apartment was also bugged. Of course, we only got to see the outside of all these places but if only the walls could talk.
