Loved the tour and Scott is a personable and knowledgeable guide. - Pros: My wife and I took this tour on a brisk, windy day in February and really enjoyed ourselves. (We are in our 60's and in decent shape). Scott met us in the City Hall park - he was easy to spot - and the tour commenced from there. He is very easygoing, chill and knowledgeable, having lived in the area for many years...and we asked a ton of questions (which he likes). We traversed the bridge, stopping along the way periodically to hear the history of its construction and for him to point out other landmarks. At the other end of the bridge, we walked through Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO and he pointed out a wide variety of points of interest. He was also flexible and willing to stay in a particular area longer if we had more questions. The tour ended about 2.5 hours later by the Brooklyn Heights waterfront, and we were able to easily find our way back to the central area to explore by ourselves. We both thought the tour was a great value, and we walked about 3 miles total over that period. He was also willing to take snapshots of us on the bridge and in DUMBO at various Instagrammable spots - no need to hire one of the many photographers that hang out on the bridge! Scott also does a separate bicycle tour of the bridge and surrounding area, but that makes it more difficult to ask questions - you have to wait until the next stop. (He isn't talking in your ear as you bike). Cons: Our tour was not crowded on the Monday afternoon, so we were able to stay in close proximity to Scott, who doesn't have the booming voice you might expect from a tour guide and doesn't use a microphone or any kind of wireless transmission system. If there were a dozen people, I might have had a problem hearing him, especially on the bridge itself, where the wind muffles speech.

Book It! - Scott is a great guide and this tour is a must do. My daughter and I joined him on this tour and we had a great time. He has a lot of insight and history, recommendations and will offer to take pictures. He is very pleasant and helped us with some area questions before and after the tour. So glad we booked this and the walk around Brooklyn Heights was a nice break from the noise of the city across the river.

Blowing away the cobwebs - an exhilarating walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn - A really enjoyable few hours with Scott and fellow travellers walking from Manhattan City Hall, across the Brooklyn Bridge, exploring the refurbished DUMBO area and then up into Brooklyn Heights. There’s nothing like a local to give you the inside track on the neighbourhoods you are exploring and Scott was a great guide. A splendid way to spend a few hours. Highly recommended.

Scott's tour is a must-see experience - Scott is an excellent guide. His knowledge of both Manhattan and Brooklyn is remarkable. He led the tour in a relaxed and comfortable way, not missing a beat, from City Center to Dumbo. He planned brief stops along the walk to let us rest and regroup for a minute and to take photos of the gorgeous views. This trip was so worth the price, and it could have easily been more expensive for the wonderful experience it provided. I would vibe back with friends for this one!
