All tours are delivered in English, and by the proprietor Scott, and feature small groups. Enjoy a 3-hour, 3-mile stroll with a 30-year resident of Brooklyn. I’ll lead you to the most picturesque photo ops and find corners that only a local would know. Learn about the history of the people, eras, and technology that defined Brooklyn’s rise. We’ll pass by the homes of some very famous stars of TV and film, as well as through shoot locations you will almost certainly recognize from popular TV and films.

You’ll end up in NYC’s hottest neighborhood, Dumbo, home of NYC’s best pizza. Make time for lunch and, during warm-weather weekends, to browse Brooklyn Flea for a bespoke, vintage souvenir.

This is a walking version of my popular, five-star rated bike tour, also listed on Viator.

Brooklyn Bridge and neighbourhood walking tour—must do! - We could have walked the bridge and Brooklyn on our own however we would have missed out on all the great information from our local guide Scott. He was able to answer our questions and walk us through the challenges of building the bridge as well as through the park and local neighbourhood with some tidbits on celebrities you may see. It was well worth our time and highly recommend this tour rain or shine!

Great introduction to New York - We booked the Brooklyn Bridge Walking Tour for the first full day of our honeymoon in NYC on Thursday 15th August. We have done similar walking tours in European cities a few of years ago and have made the mistake of doing them too late in our stay to factor in the guides recommendations, so we made sure to schedule this one in early! Scott was an excellent tour guide and we were pleasantly surprised to find our tour comprised of ourselves and one other customer, this meant that we got to have more general chit chat about New York and America as we walked. Scott was very helpful pointing out key points to take photographs on the Bridge and helping us do so - the views were spectacular. We particularly enjoyed learning about efforts to conserve wildlife, and were surprised to be beautiful green spots. Along the way, Scott recommended several locations for food and entertainment in areas that we would otherwise not have known about - and we will be revisiting Dumbo for these later on in our stay. Thanks very much for giving us the perfect introduction to New York, and setting our honeymoon off on a great start. Rachel & George

Fun guide, lots to learn, beautiful views - Scott was very friendly and knowledgeable about a wide variety of things, from details about the Brooklyn Bridge to sculptures to history to food to celebrities living in the area. Ask him anything; chances are he'll know the answer. He also provided a list of things to do in the area. Beautiful views of Brooklyn and Manhattan, and lots of variety.

Fun, Pleasant Walking Tour - Scott was professional, knowledgeable, pleasant under a very, hot and humid day condition and brought extra that made the tour wonderful. He shared some anecdotes that were just fun. Ask about the fruit name streets at the end portion of the tour.

A highlight of our trip to NYC - We went on a Sunday morning & it was a super experience.  The bridge is definitely less crowded in the mornings, and the views are spectacular.  But the real plus here is Scott who clearly loves the area and its history. We found him to be super helpful, always quick to offer to take photos of the whole family together (while also giving us his insights as a local with an obvious love of history, tailoring his stories to things he knew we would find interesting). All of us (including our pre teen) really enjoyed the experience (which felt like we were discovering the area through the eyes of a local).  Would definitely recommend - great value for money.

Great tour with a top guide! - Thanks again to Scott for a fantastic tour yesterday. The couple of hours flew by. Scott knows his stuff and was able to answer all our questions, whether directly tour related or off topic. We had never been to Brooklyn before so enjoyed seeing the neighbourhoods and learning about different parts that we will definitely visit again. Nice touch to finish with a toast drinking homemade, refreshing lemonade.
