We had the best afternoon in Central Park, thanks to Alexus and Sam! - Such a great experience and the best way to see the park and learn some interesting history about the park and buildings that border most of it. We took the 65 minute ride and loved it. Alexus was kind and a great host. She is a native New-Yorker, has worked with horses for a long time, and obviously loves and cares for the animals she works with.

A fun carriage ride through Central Park. - Our guide was so sweet. He made sure we had good pictures and knew a lot about the area's history and filming locations. It was my wife and i's first carriage ride and it was amazing experience. Highly recommended for the memories!

Great company, wonderful experience - Easy online booking, easy to find. They texted morning off to change/confirm the time slightly that actually worked better for us. Driver and horse were excellent, definitely no mistreatment there. Great way to see the park. A wonderful experience I will always remember.

New York Horse Carriage Rides in Central Park since 1979 VIP Tour 65 mins - Frank contacted us on the day of our ride to inform us that there was a charity run in Central Park and it to advise us that it may affect our overall experience and he did not want us to be disappointed. So he gave us the opportunity to postpone until later that day or another day. We chose the same day at 4pm. Henry and Lady Liberty did not disappoint. We had the most amazing experience and a very relaxed and informative ride with many photo opportunities. We fell slightly short on our 65 minutes, but other than that - it was first class!

Disappointed - We were told to get into carriage and driver walked away. My husband had to go find him to ask if a step stool. Barely spoke with us as tour began -learned his name was John and horse Winter it was difficult to hear him; at one point on his cell phone then he turned and began talking about cryptocurrency. Stopped at the arcade didn't explain ; my husband went down to explore but I couldn't because of steps. As my husband started down I turn to ask question of driver he was gone. Another place he took a pic and when we asked about where we were he didn't answer . Asked again no response. And only 38 minutes. When I said we paid for the 55 minutes He said it was because I didn't go explore the arcade! Very little information - would point the crop towards something as we went by and explain after we passed. - very disappointed! Especially since most reviews were good.

Canceled with no refund! - I rarely write a bad review but this was above and beyond terrible. Our booking got cancelled with a text about an hour before the departure time. The phone number provided has not answered until now (almost 24 hours) and there has been no contact and no sign of any attempt to refund. I understand that this can get canceled due to safety of horses but you guys can definitely do a better job with communication and refunding customers money. Overall, considering the unpredictability of NY weather, I do not recommend booking this tour in advance.

Don’t give your money to this company! Choose one of the many other NYC horse carriage tours who don’t insult customers - I hardly ever leave reviews, let alone negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn anyone not to do business with this company, and specifically to steer clear of the owner, Frank Riccobono. I booked and paid for a carriage ride with my family over two months in advance. Shortly after booking, I noticed that the company had overcharged me $160, so I emailed their customer service email to request the refund. They never responded, despite my initial email and a second follow-up. The company’s total failure to respond to my outreach should have been a red flag, but I figured we could just sort this out in person the day of our carriage ride. Two days before our booking, I emailed the company again to confirm the booking time. I again never heard back. An hour before our scheduled carriage ride, the owner of the company, Frank, texted me to confirm the booking time, but the time was incorrect. When I told him this, he became enraged, texting me nonsensical insults directed at me and my husband. He then called me repeatedly, and when my husband answered the phone, he similarly attacked him, me, and our children (who are all under the age of four). His hateful reaction to being told that his booking time was wrong was truly inexplicable—He flew off the handle with rage and told us he was cancelling our booking. And even after this, he continued texting me and my husband nasty insults until I finally blocked his phone number. Fortunately, there are plenty of other great companies that offer carriage rides in NYC, so we promptly booked with Central Park Carriage Rides and had a great experience. In retrospect, I’m so glad we didn’t give our money to someone who would treat customers so poorly, and I would encourage anyone considering this company to steer clear and book with one of the many other carriage ride companies in NYC.
