Definitely take the tour... - Definitely take the tour of Grand Central Station! Our guide, Christine was awesome!!! She was very educated on the history.

A great morning in NYC - I had the chance to go back to NYC with my partner after many years and we decided to take a guided tour. Summit One Vanderbilt was a new discovery for us and the art installations with the breathtaking views were fantastic. Our guide took great pictures of us inside. We also went to visit Grand Central Station which we knew of from many cult movies but we didn't know anything about the architecture and the design so it was just great to learn about it. This tour definitely made our day in New York.

Good and fun - We had difficulty finding the guide as it was said that Francesca would be it but instead there was a guy. He was very knowledgeable and a good person, patient, and took a lot of photos for us.. We liked it very much. Now we can’t wait to get out photos!

Stunning Experience but Overpriced VIP Package - The VIP Summit Vanderbilt tour package offers a premium experience with exclusive access and breathtaking views. However, the cost is significantly higher than expected and feels overpriced for what’s provided. While the views and amenities are impressive, the value doesn’t quite match the steep price tag.
Look for alternative packages that might be more budget-friendly, but make sure to visit VIP Summit Vanderbilt if you’re in New York—it’s a must-see attraction despite the price.

Summit tickets - Terrible experience. They sale the tickets through a third party that supposedly give you the actual ticket for entrance, they only give you a voucher and that’s no the actual ticket. At the summit theres no one providing information or assistance or the customer phone number for support never answered . I have to purchase tickets there again since the people at summit don’t have anything to do with third parties. The best way is to purchase directly to the summit website

Worst Experience with a vendor I’ve ever had on Viator. - Worst tour I have ever booked through Viator!!! Will never use this vendor again. I suggest you use extreme caution using this vendor. They are not local. I was dealing with a customer support system out of Ireland. Was told to meet the “tour guide” who was not outside at the meeting point. Which he was not. We showed up (as told 15 minutes before the meeting time at 8:30am with a 8:45am start time) no tour guide. Waiting in the cold with a child, for almost an hour (calling customer service which was in another country) and using their “chat service” which kept saying he was there. The tour guide once he showed up said sorry “I had a cat wake me up early”. I’m not making that up. Then when we tried to start the tour. The tour guide changed the tour and wanted todo the Grand Central Station tour and not the Summit tour, which was not as advertised. Come to find out he didn’t have tickets for the Summit as advertised for the 9am but for later in the day. Also the ViP for the summit (which is what everyone in the tour wanted) was just a get you in the with everybody else. Very disappointed. I’ve used Viator many many times in many countries. This was the worst experience I have ever had.

Don’t take this tour under any circumstances. Buy tickets from the official summit website for half price and less hasle - Don’t take this tour! Just buy regular tickets from the Summit One website. The summit is amazing, this specific tour is scam.
Meeting time 8.30am. The tickets for entrance were for 10am. The tour guide (Stan) arrived 9.30am, one hour later.
It is not a VIP tour (despite the name). You wait for 30min in the line with everyone who bought tickets for $64 (basically we’ve paid double price for literally nothing, actually we’ve lost one hour waiting for the tour guide who apparently was stuck in the traffic)
We and three other families were just keep calling the tour operator over and over but the responses were (he is very close, etc…).
For the Grand Central station, it is in the same building, you don’t need tickets or tour guide to take few photos.
As a conclusion, this is a scam, the tour operator just buys off a bunch of tickets for regular price and then as all scalpers do, are selling the tickets by 2x of original price. In order to cover this shady scheme, they stick “vip” in the tour name and add a tour guide whose only role is to hand you over the actual tickets (after being one hour late).
