- Mimi’s Pizza (Broadway) - No NYC food tour would be complete without eating a slice of classic NYC-style pizza. We’ll visit our friends at Mimi’s Pizza who offer some of the best slices you can get on the Upper West Side. This ain’t no frozen pizza, this is a handmade slice that takes over 72 hours to create and it’s 100% guaranteed to change your life.
- The Belnord Apartments - Explore The Belnord Apartments, among the Upper West’s most prestigious residential complexes and the primary filming location for the acclaimed TV series ‘Only Murders in The Building.’
- Zabar’s - Our next stop is Zabar’s, a 90-year-old Jewish market that is known for its coffee and homemade rugelach. You’ll have some time to explore the market before we enjoy some chocolate / cinnamon rugelach fresh out of the oven.
- Banksy’s “Hammer Boy” - Visit the Hammer Boy, a small but iconic mural painted in 2013 by the famous English street artist Banksy.
- Beacon Theatre - Visit The Beacon, a world-famous theatre where popular artists including Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, and Jerry Seinfeld have all performed.
- The Ansonia - Visit a breathtaking piece of French architecture with a rich history, once home to legends like Babe Ruth (Yankees) and the renowned composer Igor Stravinsky.
- Gray’s Papaya - Gray’s Papaya is an institution on the Upper West Side who have been serving 100% beef hotdogs to the masses for well over 50 years. We’ll swing by their stand, grab a hotdog and enjoy it on the sidewalk like a true New Yorker.
- The Dakota - Pay a solemn visit to the site where the tragic assassination of John Lennon took place.
- Strawberry Fields, John Lennon Memorial - On our way from the Dakota we’ll visit Strawberry Fields. This now iconic location was put in Central Park as a memorial for the late John Lennon
- Magnolia Bakery - To round out our tour we’ll finish at the world-famous Magnolia Bakery. They’re known for their banana pudding and their cupcakes. You’ll have the difficult decision to choose which you want to try but the good news is that they’re both absolutely sensational and are guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.

A great insight into the Upper West Side with good food too! - To be honest all the stops/food were equally good, so no one stands out especially. I did enjoy the Jewish Delicatessan where I bough some coffee beans. Our guide Ryan was entertaining and knowledgeable, giving us insights into this part of the City that aren't on the main "tourist" areas.

Time well spent! - First time on this kind of tour. Great way to enjoy some real New York tastes! My daughter and I enjoyed the afternoon with good food and fun information. Ryan was friendly and a fun tour guide who also gave us some great food tips for the rest of our trip!

Awesome! - Ryan is such a great guide. He’s very passionate about food and the city. We learned a lot of cool things that would have been really hard to find out if we weren’t with a local guide. The area is easy flat walking and the stops are varied and all tasty. Highly recommend this one!

Great Time - Lovely way to spend some quality time in the city. My family, friends and I are from NY and we hardly ever spend any time in the Upper West Side. This food tour was a great reason to go and it did not disappoint. Our guide was Ryan and he great, friendly, super attentive to any questions I had before the tour. During our tour, he took us around to all the main spots, showed us some cool tidbits in the area that we didn't know about and was overall a pleasure to get to know!

Delicious experience - The food tour is an excellent choice whether it is your first visit to New York or not. Knowing the cuisine of a place is also part of knowing the place itself. Plus, our guide Ryan was super friendly and the places we went to eat were incredible. I recommend it, it is a must go!
