Highly recommend!! - Fabulous day - Mick was our guide - did a great job. I picked the tour for the scenery- which was AMAZING—bonus was learning about the Gannets & their colonies (and I am NOT a bird person😆)! Highly recommend

One of the best wildlife experiences we’ve had - Really enjoyed the trip. We had an excellent and expert guide who looked after us brilliantly, kept us well informed and had a great supply of cheesy jokes. The gannets were spectacular, well worth the money

Amazing - Cannot recommend highly enough. Was a very last minute decision to go on the tour, very glad i did. Marcus, our tour guide was informative and his humorous commentary made the journey to the gannets go quickly. I learnt so much about the gannets, NZ and the reserve. Beautiful views throughout the tour. The gannets are amazing to watch especially when some wind picks up. And if you stand in their landing zone they are quite happy to try take you out. Makes for a better experience

Great tour - The tour was amazing, great views and our guide, Wayne, was very knowledgeable about the area. I had family from UK over and they enjoyed it too. Well worth doing.

The Cape Kidnapper Tour is certainly worthwhile. 5 stars. - We thoroughly enjoyed the ride out to Cape Kidnappers, and Tony, our guide, was so informative and taught us lots about the local area, the history, the culture, and conservation of the lands we were crossing. The gannets were beautiful to watch and the scenery amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Very unique and cool tour. - What an awesome experience. Garth, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable. The scenery was incredible and the birds were really cool. We were on a cruise but booked it on our own. The tour company is totally in sync with the cruise time table.

Our favourite shore excursion of this cruise. Thanks Mick! - We did this as a shore excursion. The price was significantly lower than that of the cruise ship. This was easily our favourite shore excursion of this cruise. Our guide Mick was both entertaining and informative and there was plenty of time to see the huge gannet colony and also take in the beautiful countryside. The tour included a stop for photos at a picturesque location over the cliffs that allowed us to take some great photos.

Wonderful guide, to much information about irrelevant wealthy land owner. - Our guide Garth was wonderful, we really appreciated his kindness & was very informative. The reason for the "average" review has to do with the excessive explaining about the local golf course & lodge. We felt this was such a huge focus of the tour and we truly had no interest in learning about one wildly wealthy man and the exorbantely overpriced golf course. As well as the MILLIONS of gallons of water that are used to keep it pristine. The birds were very cool, we had a good amount of time to watch them which was nice. The lookout was stunning. Overall the tour was good, i just couldn't get over most of the drive out being about the affluent owner of the land, rather than specific information relevant to New zealand. It felt like the above mentioned fellow must own the company or something with how much he was mentioned. This is not to say there wasn't info about local flora & fauna, I just wish it was highlighted as a priority throughout the whole trip.
