A wonderful solo tour - Great. You can be there by yourself, no guide, no group. You can walk and admire what you see. Amazing.

Steam and bubbles! - This is a must do when staying in Taupo. From the small ferry trip, to the ease of getting around the area and to the incredible geothermics, this cannot be missed.

A secret and magical kieu - Arrived by helicopter with VOLCANIC AIR, we were warmly welcomed at the cafe, then we crossed by boat for a 1h1/2 walk in the middle of the geothermal springs. Beautiful and...slightly physical, climbing stairs is sporty but worth it. All this by the river in an idyllic place! An enchanting break between Rotorua and Taupo.

A-mazing! Go!! - Amazing place, other-worldly! Was lucky as I arrived early practically had the place to myself! Highly recommend. Lots of steps is the only consideration if you have dodgey knees.

Natural Wonderland - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed wandering the well appointed trails all around the natural thermal springs, down to the cave, and through the forested areas. Visiting this natural area ranked near the top of our list of favorite locations on NZ’s North Island!

Must do! - Got a cheaper ticket for here at bookme.nz when I arrived there were only a handful of people already there which was great, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Quick trip across the lake which is on demand so no waiting around. I absolutely loved this place, its so beautiful and unique it's like nothing I've ever seen before! I really enjoyed my walk round the whole site and was fascinated by the whole place! It does have stairs but it's an easy walk, absolute must do when in Taupo!

Pleasant geothermal park. - This was a great self guided tour through the geo thermal region. As said elsewhere the park is run to best preserve the local environment. The walk is probably moderate at best, some level of fitness required. There is a small gift shop and cafe.
