This small palace built in 1892 was instrumental in the passage of the women’s suffrage movement, as Alva Vanderbilt hosted fundraisers in her pagoda (Chinese Tea House on the Cliff Walk) whereby she raised a great deal of money to pass the 19th amendment.

Both the Marble House and Chinese Tea House were the Asian wedding set in the Katherine Heigel classic movie “27 Dresses”

A guided tour well worth taking - Our tour guide, Troy, was animated and knowledgeable. We saw many of the great sights of Newport that we would not necessarily have found on our own. The mansion tour of the Breakers was amazing.

Very Enjoyable - Our tour guide and driver (Russ) was extremely knowledgeable about the town to include the history, the current and prior residents and the best places to eat, drink and shop. He was also quite humorous. The tour is well worth it and the Breakers is an unbelievable piece of real estate.
