Marble House and Trolley tour - Friends and I visited Newport to take the a trolley tour and visit the Marble house. It was a picture perfect day with lots of sunshine and gorgeous views. Our tour guide, Larry, was excellent!!!! He was funny, knowledgeable and very personable. He not only pointed out the historical facts, he added a lot of current information regarding tv filming and shows. At the end of the tour, Larry even pointed out the best places to eat in the area that the locals frequent. We had a great time!!

Gilded Age Marble House - The ride was very enjoyable, the driver was courteous and accommodating. He shared lots of local history. The Marble House was really grand in scale and decoration. I particularly loved the history of the outer building designed and built for suffragette meetings.

Beautiful Newport Overview. - Pleasant way to see some of the Newport area in a short time. You will see/ hear about many more interesting places than the free trolley. The outside of the mansions are awesome. You can get an idea of what you might return to see. The house tour of Marble House was beautiful. I might suggest taking the narrated tour and another time buy a bundled homes tour. They are within walking distance and can be seen in about 1.5 hours apiece.

Entertaining driver and Spectacular Homes - Our driver was informative and entertaining. The “cottages” have fascinating histories and must be seen. We toured The Breakers on our last visit and chose Marble House this time. Both are spectacular properties from a special time. Our driver was exactly where he said he would be after the house tour. He even dropped us off close to our dinner reservations.

Newport RIv101 on steroids - This was our first time in Newport. This was an excellent way to get an overview of its history, mansions, and beautiful terrain. The guide was awesome. He was a retired teacher and local native of the area, could not have been a better combination.

Great & educational trolley tour. - What a great way to visit a city for the first time. The trolly was a fun way to get around town but the driver/narrator really made the trip. He was very pleasant, jovial and knowledgeable of the area while answering all questions. Definitely a great tour.
