Ha Giang – Yen Minh – Dong Van (≈160km)
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - 7:30 AM - Start your journey from Ha Giang city to Quan Ba, where the first stop will be to admire the stunning views from Heaven Gate and the legendary Twin Mountains. Arrive in Yen Minh by noon to enjoy lunch before heading to the next destination.

Ha Giang – Yen Minh – Dong Van (≈160km)
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - 7:30 AM - Start your journey from Ha Giang city to Quan Ba, where the first stop will be to admire the stunning views from Heaven Gate and the legendary Twin Mountains. Arrive in Yen Minh by noon to enjoy lunch before heading to the next destination.
Dong Van - The afternoon begins with a visit to Lung Cam Village, a quintessential H’mong village, where you can see a famous site: an old house featured in the renowned Vietnamese film ‘Story of Pao’, released in 2006. After a brief drive, arrive at Vuong Palace, once owned by Vuong Trinh Duc, the H’Mong King who led 70,000 H’mong soldiers to defend the border during French Colonization. The palace’s architecture is uniquely influenced by Chinese, French, and H’mong cultures. As daylight fades, reach Dong Van town, check into the hotel for the night, and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Dong Van – Lung Cu – Ma Pi Leng – Du Gia (≈110km)
Dong Van - Wake up to the sounds of the Dong Van weekly market, held only on Sundays. If you happen to be there on this day, it will be an unforgettable experience. The market is bustling with ethnic minorities, offering a unique chance to walk through the crowd, observe the trading of buffalos, cows, or chickens, and be captivated by the vibrant booths of traditional ethnic clothing.
Lung Cu - Leave the bustling market behind and continue the ride to Lung Cu, the northernmost point of the province. Then, follow the mysterious Ma Le (One-eyed-ghost) pass, and learn about the Lo Lo ethnic group, one of Vietnam’s smallest ethnic minorities, residing near the Flag tower.
Ma Pi Leng Pass - After conquering the Lung Cu Tower and taking in the breathtaking views, the next stop is Ma Pi Leng Pass, known as the ‘Horse’s Nose Bridge’. Here, walk the paths trodden by many ethnic people. While strolling around this H’mong pass, gaze down at the serene Nho Que River winding through the landscape.
Du Gia - The final stop for the day is Du Gia forest, where you can unwind at the Du Gia waterfall. Spend the night at a Tay local homestay.
