Kangding-Luding (2 hours driving)
Mugecuo Scenic Resort - Known as the ‘savage sea,’ Mugetso is one of the largest mountain lakes in western Sichuan. At over 3,700 meters above sea level, the lake covers nearly four square kilometers and is more than 70 meters deep. The scenic area includes the Red Sea, White Sea, Black Sea, and over 30 unnamed seas, along with forests, grasslands, snow-capped mountains, azaleas, and Tibetan herdsmen’s customs. Luding-Chengdu (3 hours driving)
Hailuogou Scenic Resort - Originating from the east slope of Gongga Snow Mountain, known as the ‘King of Shushan,’ Hailuogou spans about 30.7 kilometers in length and covers an area of approximately 220 square kilometers. Formed 16 million years ago, this modern marine glacier is located at the intersection of Luding, Kangding, and Yaan in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Garze.
