Niagara Falls State Park - Enjoy a comfortable ride in an air-conditioned SUV or van, taking in the scenic landscape of upstate New York (approximately 7 hours each way, with a few rest stops) as you head north. Upon arrival, you’ll begin to experience the adventure, beauty, and natural wonder of Niagara Falls. During your visit, you’ll learn about the fascinating history of these powerful waters and enjoy spectacular views of the falls from various vantage points (weather permitting). You’ll have the opportunity to have lunch on your own, shop for souvenirs, and explore the beautiful Niagara Falls State Park.
Niagara Falls Observation Tower - Take in stunning views of the falls and enjoy some awe-inspiring scenery from the observation tower. Niagara Falls is actually composed of three waterfalls. The Niagara River flows down from Lake Erie and is divided by Goat Island. Part of it flows to the horseshoe-shaped Canadian Falls (Horseshoe Falls), and the rest flows to the American Falls. At the American Falls, the river is further split by a small island, Luna Island, creating the third, smaller waterfall known as Bridal Veil Falls.
Prospect Point - The prime viewing area for the American Falls and Rapids, including the nightly illumination and seasonal fireworks. This area is also close to the Observation Tower and the Maid of the Mist.
Luna Island - This small island between the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls offers an awe-inspiring view of both falls.
Bridal Veil Falls - The Bridal Veil is the smallest of the three waterfalls that together are known as the great Niagara Falls. Located on the US side, it is right next to the American Falls and separated by Luna Island. Goat Island on the Canadian side separates it from Horseshoe Falls. The waterfall resembles a ‘Bridal Veil,’ hence the name Bridal Veil Falls. It is also known as Luna Falls and Iris Falls. The height of Bridal Veil Falls is 181 ft. Though it is smaller compared to its two counterparts, it has its own unique features.
Goat Island - Goat Island (formerly Iris Island) is a small island in the Niagara River, situated between the Bridal Veil Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. The island is at the southwest corner of the City of Niagara Falls (and Niagara County), New York, in the United States and is part of Niagara Falls State Park. Goat Island has no residents but is a popular destination for tourists visiting the falls on the U.S. side. It has several viewing points, including Terrapin Point. Goat Island is connected to the U.S. mainland by two bridges that carry foot, car, and trackless train traffic, and to the smaller Luna Island (adjacent to the American Falls) by a pedestrian bridge. The island is largely wooded and interlaced with foot trails.
Terrapin Point - Terrapin Point (formerly Terrapin Rocks) is an observation area located in Niagara Falls, New York, at the western tip of Goat Island, next to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. It is one of two major observation areas overlooking the falls and lower Niagara Gorge on the New York side, the other being Prospect Point further downriver.
Horseshoe Falls - Horseshoe Falls is considered the most impressive of the three falls, and Terrapin Point offers astonishing views of them.
Over the Falls Tours - Niagara Falls Night Illumination Tour. Niagara Falls is impressive by day but becomes vibrant and colorful at night when it’s lit up. Enjoy a tour of the illumination of American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls after the sun goes down. Your guide will share the falls’ interesting history as they take you to the best lookout points, including Luna Island.
