Niagara on the Lake - wine tasting - Enjoyed the 3 wineries. Each was different in appearance. All hosts were informative and personable. Wines were different in each winery.

A very informative and enjoyable wine tour - Chris, our tour guide was very informative about the region providing historical information as well as information on grape growing and how to taste the wines. A very enjoyable tour!

Easy pick up, great... - Easy pick up, great wineries. We would do this trip again. Our driver Jerry was kind and knowledgeable. He did sit at the table with our group at a couple of the wineries, over stayed his welcome, and talked about uncomfortable topics such as politics and race. We could’ve had a better experience if he would have given us more space and time explore on our own.

Fun few hours in Niagara - We enjoyed this event, and despite having done a few wine tours in our day, Chris went out of his way to show us some things we'd never seen before. We appreciated his effort to educate and entertain us. There was a little mix-up with the times (I'd booked it understanding that it started at 11, but it really started at 11:45 and I'd missed the text so there was a little panic when we weren't picked at 11! Be sure to check your texts! Would recommend.

Good, but too expensive for what we got. - 2 wineries were good, other a disappointment…didn’t like our driver trying to get us to buy a pass for $104 & also was surprised your charge was in American dollars, not Canadian, was budgeting a smaller fee

Disappointed - Unfortunately of the three wineries visited, only one ,konzelmann, provided what was paid for in the description. Nomad/Hinterbrook and Between The Lines did not. I would say even the personal touches at konzelmann made it the nicest of the three visited.I would like to add that a few of the wines served at Between The Lines were quite lovely...just not providing all they should of. Our driver, Joe, with CTG was absolutely wonderful. Feeling badly that the wineries fell short of their mark, he and his boss tried to compensate. I would highly recommend CTG and Joe for future tours.

Disappointed - Tour was definitely over priced. There were not 30 people in the tour . It was just the two of us. We had no opportunity to interact with other travelers. We went to three 0k wineries. The cheese pairing consisted of 4 pcs. of cheese and 3 crackers each. There was no explanation as to why these 2 varieties of cheese were chosen. Finally. our driver was loud, condescending & in your face . We couldn’t wait for the tour to end. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!

1 star for Chris, 3.5 for the wineries - We are in the minority of reviewers who did not care for Chris. We found him obnoxious, belittling, loud, insecure, and at times racist. He kept needling one couple about how the guy should treat his wife. He told someone of color that they resembled a famous person of color. While we sat there in mortified silence, he went on to tell us of two previous guests who looked like two other guys of color. He got weird about questions. He often highlights text on his phone and plays it for you. In response to a simple question about what had been read, he flatly said something like, I just give you the basics, if you want the "scientific" explanation you’ll have to research it. When the questioner clarified that she wasn’t looking for anything scientific, he repeated himself, so flatly, it felt intentional. There were positives - he was timely, the car was nice, he did provide interesting wine info and we mostly liked the wineries, though not all (one server, on learning where we are from, began reciting bad news from our city, seriously lacking context!) Best of all, we really liked the companions we met on the tour, who were lovely and interesting. By the end of the day we were bonding over our mutual reaction to Chris's behavior, and just hoping he wouldn’t walk over while we were drinking and talking. I'm baffled by all the great reviews, though a few others recount similar experiences, some even worse than ours, going back to 2021. I can't recommend a business that looks the other way on this behavior. There are other companies on that same road with great reviews. We really liked Grape Escape in the past.
