Definitely do it - Fab tour, our guide (Daniel) was great. A real OIAL experience. We got within 300m of the top and saw some dust eruptions which was awesome (safety precluded us going to the summit crater as Etna is active at the moment). We visited other craters and a lava tunnel. You don’t need to be super fit to do it. Daniel took a bottle of wine up and we had a small glass with lunch (BYO food/water) - a nice touch! Top tip: wear some ankle gaiters to keep the little volcanic pebbles out of your boots or roll your socks over your boot tops.

All things considered, great guide - With Pietro (guide) we made the most of everything there was to see! Awesome! I recommend everyone to climb Etna to the top with Pietro! Doing.

Amazing, unforgettable experience! - WOW! What an amazing, unforgettable experience! Well organized, good equipment and very friendly and good staff and guides! Up by cable, further with 4x4 mini bus and then starting the trekking. 1 hr 45 min up, which was very doable as we walked slow, 30 min break and 1 hr 30 min down. The view was breath taking. Thanks for this unforgettable day.

The breath of the volcano, something we will never forget! - With some hesitation, my husband and I decide to do this excursion together with our 9 and 12 year old children. Hesitation because some reviews do not recommend it for children under 10 years old due to the difficult paths. Let me start by saying that in the family we all practice sports, some more or less, and we are in good health so there is a bit of training. The climb to the crater actually turned out to be a very pleasant walk. Of course, the difference in altitude is considerable and you need to be careful when walking along the paths but if you rely on expert guides like Luca and Mattia and put their advice into practice first on how to equip yourself and then on how to deal with the ascent and descent... the game is Done! The excursion turns into an experience that I struggle to define: listening to the breath of the volcano in silence arouses strong emotions and a deep respect for this nature that is both violent and fascinating. The landscapes are unusual, which is why they captivate you. On a naturalistic level it is certainly one of the most exciting experiences we have ever had, I won't go into details because certain things must be seen and not told. Of course, in these excursions the weather is the deciding factor: we were literally kissed by the sun and by a wind that only became strong in the final part, a perfect day even at the top which allowed us to fully enjoy the activity of the volcano and the panorama. The children had no difficulties and were enthusiastic. Personal note: I love the climbs but I hate the descents which always make me a little anxious... a couple of steps along the sand with Luca's help were enough to understand that the descent from the volcano can be very fun as well as very fast! In summary: perfect organization, fantastic setting... an excursion to do absolutely and not just once!

An experience that will remain engraved in our memory - An exceptional moment, experienced thanks to the three guides this Thursday, August 3, 2023. The group of 25, more than half of whom were French, did well because the pace was still sustained. Truly an experience that will remain in our memory. The arrival at the crater is simply breathtaking. Bravo for this 4h30 10km course. An unforgettable experience, few have done it. And we are proud to have made it to the end.

A tour I can really recommend - Exactly one week has passed since the excursion to Mount Etna and I am still more than enthusiastic and I think this will continue for the next few years. Above all, I would like to thank Franco for this great experience! It really wouldn't have been half as good without him. If a tour then only with him! Super good mood, humorous and above all competent in what he does and explains. I can really only recommend a tour with him to you.

Up to 2990m no more - Note that since July 2024, the tour no longer includes climbing to the top of the crater. We knew that there were adjustments of itineraries according to the weather but given that the limitations of this excursion have been known for a few months by the agency, greater transparency would have been desired in the title and description of the activity.

Etna Touring Sept 2024 Experience - Etna Touring Experience Recommended by our landlady, who booked us with Claudia, Guide francophone of Etna Touring, we undertook, the next morning, the 5 hours trekking on Mount Etna. We had an appointment at 9:30, we waited until 9:45 without seeing anyone. The payment was foreseen by CB, out of order just today, it was necessary to pay in cash (190€ for 2, not foreseen). The weather was clear, but, we worried to the reception the adverse weather forecast, wind 60km/h and rain from the end of the morning. We were told that we would be on the way back. The equipment provided, shoes, socks, jackets was perfect. We then waited a long time for on-site registrations to complete the group up to about 50 people. 2 guides then presented themselves, 2 in Italian, 1 in English. We are joined by a group of French people who have also been advertised a Francophone Guide. After discussion, we were taken care of by Mario, adorable veteran of Etna whom he knows as his pocket. Then there were endless lines at Funavia and then to catch the buses that took us to the Check-out Point. It was 11:45, the wind was already blowing at 60km/h and the clouds reduced visibility to about 10m. The few explanations Mario enthusiastically gave us, 1/3 in Italian , 1/3 in Sicilian and 1/3 in French, were difficult to hear with the sound of the wind. Some passages along the craters, on narrow, unstable paths, without visibility, with a very strong swirling wind and with the void on each side seemed more than risky to us. Some people got stuck and the guides had to take them by the hand. At the end of the picnic, the guides offered us a glass of local wine. Nice! As soon as we started up again, the announced rain arrived, followed by some hailstones. The guides decided to shorten the tour and we started the descent, without seeing anything from Etna. What a shame it is to knowingly embed customers in such a frenzy. To flee absolutely in case of doubt about the weather!!!!
