The first destination is the archaeological site of Choirokoitia, an exceptionally well-preserved Neolithic Age settlement recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The journey will then proceed to Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. Here, one can experience the vibrant life of the capital, with its modern architecture, alongside the charming atmosphere of traditional houses and tavernas nestled in the winding streets of the old town. The tour includes a visit to the 17th-century Cathedral of St. John, renowned for its stunning frescoes. Adjacent to it is the Archbishop’s Palace, a two-story stone structure in Neo-Byzantine style, which serves as the archdiocese’s offices and the archbishop’s residence. The tour will continue through the narrow streets of Laiki Gitonia. The guide will accompany visitors along Ledra Street to the crossing point in the buffer zone known as the Green Line. There will be free time to explore the old town, with its diverse array of shops, cafes, tavernas, and various historical sites.
