Very knowledgeable & interesting tour of Nicosia's buffer zone - Really enjoyed the tour of Nicosia's buffer zone with Eleni! She is very knowledgeable about the history of the conflict and was able to share her personal experiences too. She has a very warm and inviting personality and was always very happy to answer our questions. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Cyprus to visit Nicosia and take this tour with Eleni!

A must do tour if you are visiting Nicasia - This was the best way to see the buffer zone and the Turkish side of the city. Eleni was the perfect guide she bought the whole tour together through her stories and through sharing her own experiences of the war that divided the city and the country. If we had simply wandered around the buffer zone we would not have understood what we were looking at nor would we have understood the impact it has had on the population and how things have evolved since 1974. The tour was perfectly paced and just when we were feeling a little tired we stopped for a coffee or cold drink and a chat. Eleni was so helpful answering all our questions and even helping us identify other things we may like to visit ourselves while in Cyprus. She was a great tour guide and a wonderful person. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Nicasis

Wonderful tour - We had a great time on this tour, our guide Eleni was wonderful, she made the tour an excellent experience. If we had wandered around the buffer zone ourselves we would not have understood what we were seeing and would have missed so many things. Eleni bought the area to life with her explanations and through sharing her own experiences during the war that divided the country. The walking tour was at a relaxed pace there was no rushing, nor were there long boring presentations, everything moved along at a perfect pace and just when people were getting a little tired we stopped for coffee or a cold drink. I would recommend this as a great tour for anyone who wants to see the buffer zone and have a look at the Turkish side of the city.

Superb Tour - This was our second tour with Eleni. My previous review was in June. This time we went on a family tour of six adults and two children, aged 11 and 8, who both love history. On this tour, Eleni took us to the North side of the buffer zone for a different perspective, as last time we were on the South side. Eleni is uniquely placed to recall the history of the events and tell people her own personal journey related to this. Eleni encourages questions and was so good with our Grandsons. It is like taking a walk with a good friend, chatting about history and the hopes and aspirations for the people of Cyprus. I highly recommend this tour. Without doubt, the best two tours I have ever been on.

An Exceptional Walking Tour - If you would like to experience a walking tour around the buffer zone and want to hear the history surrounding it, please book this tour. Eleni gave us such an insight into the history regarding the events of 1974, the current situation, and hopes for the future. However, for me, the most important part of this tour was the most moving, emotional aspect of Eleni’s experience and family history, which brought all of the events to life. I took this tour with my husband, Ian, and daughter Helen who had previously experienced this tour with Eleni and recommended it to us. It was the right length of time, the parking is next to the start of the tour, and there is a toilet (the yellow submarine). We stopped for coffee and delicious cakes towards the end of the tour and took pleasure in speaking to Eleni and the other tour guests. We enjoyed this so much that we are doing it again in August with our wider family, including our two Grandsons.

Back in Time - Back to the 70s.. the story told through moving images, old buildings, ruins and barbed wire...going through checkpoints is like experiencing life in the 70s.. fear, war and what is

No one gets inside the buffer zone as a tourist - This isn’t a tour inside the buffer zone, it skirts around it Interesting enough but a dishonest title, you can go up to the barriers but never inside the BZ
