- Head North Paddle (Stand Up Paddle Kota Kinabalu) - During this activity, participants will essentially be taught the fundamentals of stand up paddling, including an introduction to the equipment, proper positioning for standing on an SUP board, how to control the board, elementary paddling techniques, and safety protocols, as well as how to evaluate weather conditions. As the sun begins to set, attendees will join our seasoned guide to enter the water and paddle during the sunset. Following dusk, we will illuminate the underside of the boards with vibrant LED lights, allowing visibility of the aquatic life below. This will also be a time for exploration and a photography session.
Brief itinerary
5.30pm meet at our base camp for registration, gearing up, lesson and safety briefing.
6.00pm water entry (to the sea) with our local guide who will provide guidance and assist with photography throughout the duration of the activity.
6.30pm sunset photography at our initial photo location, which is the sand bar, followed by continued paddling.
7.00pm activation of the LED lights under the boards to begin the coral exploration.
7.45pm commencement of the return paddle towards the starting point.
8.00pm arrival at the starting point, marking the conclusion of the activity.
