Great for families or other similiar group sizes. Less hassle than public transport - Malik was our driver. Nikko is worth visiting, and it's particularly beautiful during fall and with light rain. It is quintessential "Totoro" Japan. Malik was courteous and made a great driver. The suggested itinerary was about all you could do in the allotted 10 hours (4 hours would be driving to/from). This is my fourth trip to Nikko over 35 years, but the first time with my whole family, so It's a great way to see Nikko for a large family as it's less stressful and hassle than public transport everywhere (especially with the rain which is likely in Autumn - the best time to visit Nikko). While I can't speak to Malik's abilities as a tour guide, I found him to be courteous and accommodating. I primarily needed a driver who could take us from one place to another and provide suggestions. I wasn't looking for a full tour guide experience, and Malik was more than willing to meet those needs. However, suppose you are someone who knows nothing about Japan and is expecting a detailed tour guide. In that case, it is best to contact the organiser and speak to the driver beforehand to align expectations. The drivers will contact you the day before.

Full Day Nikko Tour with Lake Chuzéji and Kegon Waterfalls - Thé guide/driver - Raza - identified himself and communication where excellent, where the pick up place, and expectations on the trip. He was very courteous and polite, always making sure we were comfortable. His knowledge about the sites of interest vast and have given us a lot of information, making our trip much more enjoyable. Raza was an amazing guide! - We had two days of tours with Raza from Tokyo. He was prompt, friendly, and so helpful with everything. Nikko was beautiful, unfortunately the weather was rainy and we were not able to see everything but he took us other places. Second day great tour of mt Fuji area! Such a relief not to have to figure out all our own transportation end he had ideas for us when we were on our own too. Loved all the cute dogs.

Into the whole new world - The view was beautiful, surrounded by mist, and the smell of fresh air. Sounds of the waterfall rushing gave a sense of relief and calmness. The driver was cool, we had a comfortable ride and he drove amazingly.

Nikko - The driver was very fluent in English . But this was not a tour - more of a driver. Going up the mountain road ; he was driving too fast . It was raining and it felt very un safe . He was nice enough , but would recommend he school himself on the tour places he is taking you ,

Never got to go - I never heard from the tour guide after booking the tour. I wrote an email the night before asking for details. I did not hear back until the morning we were supposed to be picked up where I was told the tour was cancelled due to weather. There was no bad weather that day

Tour of Nikko - The tour said there would be an English speaking guide. Zohaib was more of a driver than tour guide. He spoke English but offered very little in the way of any explanation of the things we saw and their history. It could be because he was from Pakistan and he told us he had only been doing this for a year and a half. He said he had originally come to Japan as a factory worker 5 years ago.
