Ebisu-sama is worshipped as the god of prosperity and business, and has become prosperous along with the famous sake from Nishinomiya, one of the five Nada districts.
It is also said that Ebisu-sama appeared from the sea, and is said to bring great blessings to foreign visitors who cross the sea to visit the shrine.
The main shrine, a national treasure, was burnt down in an air raid in 1945, but has been restored to almost its original state and retains its beauty.
(It is currently under renovation until November 2024.)
- Hakushika Memorial Museum - This sake museum was built on the land where an old sake brewery once stood, using part of the building used at the time, along with tools and kiln space. We hope visitors can feel the sake brewing traditions that have been passed down through the ages, and we hope to convey the “spirit of Japan” to the world of sake brewing in a broad and deep way.

Hakushika Classics - Let’s make a toast.(Kampai)
After learning about sake, the tasting will be more flavorful.
We will stop at two recommended sake breweries to sample approximately 10 different types of sake. Your guide will pick out the sake that he/she recommends (Nama-shu, Shin-shu, old Junmai-Ginjo-shu, etc.)
In the sake brewery, you can enjoy not only sake, but also food that goes well with sake, sake glasses, and other items for shopping.
