The Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel holds the title of the World’s Northernmost Igloo Hotel. Annually, skilled artists and builders collaborate to construct a new and distinctive hotel with a unique theme. The Igloo Hotel spans 2,500 m2 and requires 250 tonnes of ice and 7,000 m3 of snow for its construction. Ice is sourced from Sierravann, located a few kilometers further into the Alta Valley from Sorrisniva, while snow is produced using water from the renowned Alta River, situated just meters from the hotel.
The Igloo Hotel is reconstructed each winter, offering a mix of unique igloo rooms and themed suites. Each suite is a unique masterpiece, crafted by talented ice sculptors. From the detailed ice carvings to the thoughtful design, every element is meticulously crafted to provide a memorable Arctic experience.
