You will visit the home of Anja and Bjørn, who embrace the Viking lifestyle as both a hobby and a livelihood. Experience crafts, history, food, drinks, and activities from the Viking era up close. The couple resides in a “normal” house, but their backyard is transformed into a small oasis reminiscent of the Viking Age. Enjoy a dinner followed by traditional activities, crafts, and handiwork, offering a deep dive into the Viking Age. Tønsberg, located an hour from Oslo by train, is Norway’s oldest town and is considered the epicenter of Norway’s rich Viking history, remaining vibrant throughout the year. This is where the most significant Viking Age discoveries were made. Have you heard of the Oseberg ship and the Gokstad ship?
