As we head toward Mae Taeng, the roads become more thrilling, with twisting curves and rolling hills, offering an exhilarating start to our adventure. Along the way, we enjoy breathtaking views of the Ping River and make stops at charming roadside cafés to soak in the atmosphere.
Reaching Mae Taeng by afternoon, we settle into our stay and unwind with a serene backdrop of towering limestone cliffs and jungle landscapes. Those feeling adventurous can explore nearby waterfalls or enjoy a peaceful evening soaking in the region’s tranquility.

Pai - The ride from Mae Taeng to Pai is legendary. We take on the famous Route 1095, known for its 762 exhilarating curves, winding through dense jungles, rolling hills, and misty mountain passes. As we ride deeper into the Mae Hong Son province, the air gets cooler, and the landscapes become even more dramatic. Along the way, we pass small hill tribe villages, teakwood forests, and scenic river crossings, immersing ourselves in northern Thailand’s untouched beauty.
Reaching Pai by late afternoon, we settle into this laid-back town, known for its bohemian vibes, lively night market, and hot springs. The evening is free to explore local cafés, relax by the Pai River, or simply enjoy the chilled-out atmosphere—a perfect end to an epic first day on the road.
Day 2: Pai - Mae Hong Son (148 Km)
