Awesome lean to surf experience in Noosa. - My teenage girls had the best time learning to surf. The instructors were great. Very helpful and funny. The beach was not crowded giving them a lot of space to conduct their lessons safely. Both were able to stand up and rides some waves in. So much fun! We booked into a 2 hr group lesson. Highly recommend.

Solo surfing lesson - I would highly recommend using Merricks. My 11 year old son had an awesome time. The instructor Rob was very patient and encouraging. All the staff members were very friendly and were easy to talk to.

The best way to become a surfer! - Very good surfing session with Anthony. After an explanation of the species present in the ocean, safety rules and magic technique to succeed in standing on your board... then make way for practice! And after a few trials, with encouragement and kindness from anthony we managed to surf upright and enjoy the waves. Even if surfing is a demanding sport, ideal spot and teacher to keep a good memory of surfing in Australia!

Learning to surf with a great instructor - Anthony was a great teacher - giving specific, encouraging advice and making sure we caught the waves that were the right size for our skill level. The location was lovely and the water warm. It would have been great to get some action photos. All in all, a fun experience!

Best surf lessons in Noosa! - Best surf lesson I’ve ever taken. Really fun and knowledgeable guys. Wonderful instructor with really great tips. Highly recommend. Even fun in the rain!

First Ever Surfing Lesson! - A wonderful few hours spent at Merrick’s surf school! It was my first time surfing & something that was on my bucket list of things to try whilst visiting Australia.
Oakie (sorry if mis-spelt!), could sense I was a little apprehensive & looked after me so well, giving lots of encouragement & had heaps of patience!
Thanks so much for making it all such a great experience :-)
Would highly recommend Merricks to anyone wanting to try surfing.

Great for the whole family - Today was our third time doing a group lesson for the kids 9 and 10 years and myself. Merrick, Carol and Eligh were wonderful with the kids, so much help and feedback on every wave. Feels like we’ve all learned a lot just in our three sessions. Highly recommend.

Perfect first time surfing - Great lesson, emphasis on teaching the correct method and then getting you out into the water. Could feel the progress made in just a couple of hours. Our guide Crawf was great and was able to offer advice after each attempt. This is the place to try out surfing when in Noosa.

The only one thing you HAVE to do - How can you travel in Australia, without surfing ? And the best way to do it is definitely with them. Perfectly suited for children (one of the 2 members of the staff spent the two hours to coach my little brother, 7). We all had a good time. The only disappointing thing is that we can’t surf more, because we left Noosa the same day.

Nice staff - Provided with everything and really nice staff. We were in a group of 4 and I think with anymore people it would have been very crowded - not sure if they would give you two instructors. The issue was is that I was very bad at surfing (not the company’s fault). I understand that I can’t be given more attention than the other people in the group but I was floating in a different part of the sea trying to get to the group for at least 10 minutes, and no one came to help me. I found it very difficult to battle the waves and could have done with a little assistance or just advice before I went in on how to do it as I had never surfed before. Ended up with me getting quite badly hit in the face by the board and really struggling. I sat out on the second half of the lesson. Lovely staff and a nice surf school I just think there could have been a little more assistance when I was struggling so much.
