Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your lesson. We equip you with a long-sleeved rash/sun shirt (or a wetsuit during the colder months) and provide you with an appropriately sized soft surfboard for beginners. Following that, we proceed to the shoreline where we commence with a briefing on safety and some fundamental surfing techniques. After catching a few initial waves in shallow water, we return to the shore for a more comprehensive lesson on standing up on the board. The remainder of the session is spent in the ocean, with the instructor aiding each participant in successfully standing up on their surfboard.

Turn left into Hastings Street and continue towards the river mouth. When you get to the last shops you still have another 600 meters to go. Continue through the Noosa Woods until you find the Go Ride A Wave trailer at Beach Access No 11.

Our teenage girls had lessons today, they thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely recommend - Great experience for beginners, waves weren’t too big, definitely worth a try. The young men were great teachers, definitely helped the girls feel more confident with the surf board

Awesome - HIGLY RECOMMENDED! The instructor was really nice, clear, patient and caring. He explained every aspect of the techniques very carefully and he truly looked at what you did and gave you feedbacks for each wave surfed.

Won’t get a better surf lesson. Highly recommend. - Great fun, easy, clear and fun instructions. CC and Willow were great. Would do it again. They also do board hire when not instructing.

Calming and great experience - Being someone who is extremely scared of getting deep into the sea, the team gave me so much confidence and comfort. My instructor was very patient and guided me well. I enjoyed the session thoroughly.

Top fun on perfect little waves - The best fun! I think it was Jase (the instructor) who was soo patient and fun.
The little waves were just enough to get started but not feel scared.

Had a great time w/ Cece as a solo female traveller / newbie surfer - I had Cece as an instructor and if you're a solo female traveller I highly highly recommend her. It was such a relief to have the chance to work with another woman and if you're anxious at all (like I was!) she's really great. Am plus size and not super conditioned (yet!) and she didn't make any of the subtle comments I have endured learning to surf at some other locations (schools outside Australia.) She was super encouraging. I appreciated having a surf board up at the end of our lesson to take a photo next to if we wanted. Tip for other beginners: outside the water, be mindful of the deep sand if you're barefoot and walking in a hurry, it can really stress out your feet.

Family Surf Lesson in Noosa - Had a fantastic fun surf lesson with George. George had a very laid back style, adapting to the young and less experienced surfers. A great experience from booking in the UK to surfing in Noosa. Would highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience with Instructor Jayce - We originally booked through Booking.com but couldn’t leave a review there, so we’d like to share it here instead.
This was our first surfing lesson, and we were complete beginners. Jayce was an incredible coach! He was super patient and attentive, always making sure we felt supported. He explained everything clearly, helped us correct our movements, and kept encouraging us until we finally stood up on the board. When we did, he cheered and celebrated with us, which made the experience even more special.
Thanks to Jayce, our time with Go Ride a Wave was truly unforgettable. We’ll definitely have him as our instructor again next time we’re in Noosa if we can.
