Absolutely docile raccoons and well organized - The trip was well organized just everything was in a hurry. Starting at the shop, be sure to have the waivers already signed and ready to go. BE SURE TO USE THE BATHROOM HERE. There was no time when we got to the marina. Once everyone's checked in you follow the van and drive your own car over to the marina. When we got to the marina before we were even out of the car instructions were being given and I didn't realize now was the time to put stuff away so ran back to the car and had to jog back to the group even though the car was nearby. Be ready to take just the minimum stuff right from the car when you get to the marina. We were walked over to the Tiki Party boat to get to the kayak launch boat and had a quick 20 minute ride out to the kayaks in the amazing weather. We had a perfect cloudy day with no wind or waves to paddle over to the island from the boat. The bathroom on the kayak boat however was ALSO out of service strangely. Took us maybe 20-30 minutes to all get in and moving and over to the island. The minute we came up there were already curious little raccoons!!!! Once our tour guide Sean got out the peanuts and watermelon it was like zombies. We went from 3 to more than 2 dozen in a matter of minutes. It was amazing. I was a little hesitant about them, however once I stood there a minute they were SO polite and gentle. They'll eat from your hand and wait for a handful at your feet. Once you're out of food they just wander off. It was adorable. We walked through the mangroves on the island to the lagoon, and managed to have just wnough time to paddle back and past the layak boat into the mangroves and pines behind that for maybe 15 minutes. Went back to the marina on the Tiki boat and we're left to our own. Although everything was a little rushed from meeting to the marina to the Tiki boat to the kayak boat to the island and the mangroves then back in just 2.5 hours it was absolutely worth it and affordable.

Unique experience - We had a really nice time. Our guide got everyone up to speed on the Kayaking quickly and it was a great way to explore the bay. It was a lot of fun getting to see the racoons up close on the island and feed them! Very happy we chose this trip.

Loved this and will do it again! - What an awesome experience! Our guide Ashely was super friendly always offered to take pictures. We will absolutely do this adventure again! This adventure is not for those with mobility issues as you have to sit on the paddle board, get from a sitting position on a paddleboard to hoisting yourself up a boat ladder, to getting from a boat to sitting on a kayak. If you are taking an Uber/lyft, take dry clothes with you, they have a storage spot for you to keep your items at the shop while you are out on your adventure. Don't take anything with you once you leave that you want to get wet. Make sure you have water shoes as it is a very rocky island. They have bottled beverages for you so you don't even need to take water. There is limited snacks so don't go hungry. They provide watermelon to feed to the racoons or you can take snacks to feed them. The racoons are super sweet.

A fun time! - Ashley was fantastic! We were able to feed the cute raccoons, enjoy a wonderful kayaking trip, and learn about Florida’s diverse animal and mangrove species from Ashley, who is fun and enthusiastic. Would recommend for anyone who likes the outdoors and wants a nice relaxing day trip.

Fun! Be prepared to get wet though - Lots of fun. Perfect for a family. We saw dolphins and a dozen friendly raccoons that we got to feed and pet. Shuttles from a strip mall to a launch point near FIU. We did a paddlebors through mangroves out to a boat waiting with kayaks. Not a long paddle, so don’t worry about that.

There was no experience to review - We showed up to an empty parking lot with locked doors. We found no contact info posted, and the location was tricky to find from the website. No one tried to contact us. We did not get the experience we paid for.
