Awesome Experience! - This was one of our favorite experiences in Fairbanks! My family of 4 went out with Jimmy and Matt and we all had the best time! Both mushers took awesome care of their dogs and made the experience so much fun for my kids (7 and 9). Jimmy and Matt were also very kind to answer any and all questions we had. Highly recommend the dog sledding experience and know you will love the experience! Looking forward to going again! Days later, my kids are still talking about the dogs!

FANTASTIC Experience with Dog Mushing Tour for a Family of 5 - My family and I went dog mushing with three excellent guides through Rod's Alaskan Guide Service. To begi, Rod and his operation were VERY easy to deal with. Scheduling the tour was all through an easy and informative website. Payment and confirmation of our date and time were equally simple and transparent. We arrived ~15 min early, as requested, and prepared for our adventure in Rod's *excellent* facility. It's warm, well-lighted, and filled with attentive staff members. Knowing we were going out into ~5F weather, the staff verified we all had sufficiently warm gear and offered us the use of loaner gear if we needed it. They were both friendly and forehanded in making sure we'd be comfortable during our rides with the dogs. Once it was time for us to go, our group of five were assigned to three separate sleds: Jimmy, Kristen, and Jonah. ALL of these mushers were EXCELLENT! They clearly love what they do, and they love sharing it with guests. We were up to 2 people per sled, and the accommodations on the sleds were comfortable. The ride itself took place after sunset in our case, and all I can say is WOW!! It was wonderful. We even had time to meet and take pictures with the dogs, and our guides took the pictures. After we returned, since it was the last run of the evening, we got to help out in giving the dogs an end-of-day snack before we said goodbye. All in all, it was a wonderful and I'd do it again tomorrow if I could. Strongly recommend giving Rod and his mushers a chance if dogsledding is anywhere on your list of things to do.

A fantastic experience - The dog sledding was unforgettable, and the tour guide made it even more awesome. The guide her name is Lora, originally from Wisconsin Milwaukee, has been in Alaska for around 17 years. During the tour, she patiently introduced each of her dogs, and taught us basic commands like turning right or left. In a big u-turn, she considerably stopped, so I could take a picture of my family on the other sled when they were following up. She also has a beautiful smile, and full thumbs up for the fantastic tour.

Nice experience! - So much fun, and so many cute pictures with the dogs! Definitely worth it. The staff there made a detailed check on our layers and made sure that we would be warm during the entire process. They even helped us to store our camera behind the counter.

A must do! - The staff was so friendly and helpful. They made sure everyone was equipped with the proper attire for the sub zero temps. Matt Hall who finished 2nd in the Iditarod was our guide. He was very informative and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. The dogs were full of energy and excited to hit the trails….what a fun experience! A must do to complete your Alaskan vacation!

Fun in the snowy countryside - Perfect trip length for the weather. We were glad we brought our ski goggles. Lots of fun. The ride is a bit bumpy so you are prepared and the dogs are fast.
