Great! - This was a fun trip to explore the beauty and nature of the area! My husband and I spent 2 hours exploring. If we had our kids with us, we would’ve spent more time. There are snacks across the suspension bridge or food on the main side. The shuttle was a great ride - so convenient from our hotel.

Loved our visit - We were grateful for the free shuttle bus from Canada Place to the bridge. The bridge and associated grounds is an engineering feet that everyone should experience. The area is very beautiful and scenic.

Go early to avoid crowds - Capilano Suspension Bridge is a must see when visiting Vancouver. Tickets are pricey at $71.95, but it was worth it. There's also the option for discounted tickets at 25% off if you'd like to go between 5 and 8 PM. The bridge is only 20 minutes (or 30+ depending on traffic) outside the city, and they offer a free shuttle with your ticket! Yes, it's going to be super touristy but the trick is to go early. We bought our tickets online (save $3) the day before for an 8:30 time slot. They open at 8 but I knew we wouldn't be able to make it there that early. We were running late so we didn't catch the free shuttle (which stops at Canada Place, and I believe one or two hotels in that area) so we Ubered there from downtown, which cost about $30 CAD. Once you get there, you want to head straight for the bridge, because that's what everyone is there for. If it's empty, get all the photo ops then because on your way back, there's going to be a massive amount of people. We were on the bridge just before 9 and there were really only two other couples there, so it was nice to have the bridge to ourselves. On the other side of the bridge, they have tree top canopies, called the Treetops Adventure you can explore. They are mini suspension bridges built across trees, so it's pretty cool. When we crossed back over on the bridge, it wasn't even 10 yet and it was already packed! Once you cross back over, you can check out the Cliffwalk, which is basically a metal bridge that juts out along the cliff. To my surprise, this wasn't as crowded as I thought. I think because it's easy to miss and everyone else also had the same idea - to cross the bridge first. In total, we spent about 1.5 hours exploring/taking pictures. We left at around 10:30, which is when a lot of people were just starting to get there. We caught the free shuttle back to Canada Place and there were only two other people on the bus, so it was super quick. If I were to do it all again, I would drag my butt up early enough to catch the shuttle there and make it by 8.

Good balance is a must! - Very well organized getting to the park, getting into the bridge and surrounding areas. Even though it was very crowded, the staff did an excellent jog keeping people moving. Balance is a must for crossing the bridge especially at the ends where people are getting on and off

Overcrowding - I was really excited to bring my family but quickly became disappointed with mass volumes of people. The admission was very expensive plus parking fees. Once we entered the park there were hundreds in line to cross the bridge and so many people on the first bridge that we couldn’t see the bridge at all . We turned around and left . It was back to back with human bodies on the bridge .

DO NOT GO HERE - This park was so completely overrun with people and vastly mismanaged, that we could not see anything and they refused a refund. My family paid $200 to enter on a timed ticket meant to limit the number of visitors. We arrived at 1:30 for our 2 p.m. entry and had to wait 15 minutes in line at the front gate because of the crowds. Once inside we proceeded toward the bridge, but there was a line for that approximately 1 mile long! We immediately sought a ticket refund and to leave but were told no. We waited for 35 minutes, until about 2:30, and when we got to the "start" of that line a person told us they were still taking 1:30 reservations and we would have to step out and start over. We went to the clif walk instead, a 15 minute line to begin and shoulder to shoulder the entire walk, and then returned to the suspension bridge and re-entered the line. The wait took as 1 hour and 15 minute! it was now 4:15 p.m. and we had not seen anything yet! There was no crowd management on the bridge once we got on, people were swaying it back and forth and you could not move forward or back, it was jammed with hundreds of people. When we finally got the other side it was a 30 minute wait to RETURN! We spent the entire day shoulder to shoulder in line. Bathroom? 15 minute wait. But while you waited, they were eager to sell you tons of overpriced tourist souvenirs -- no lines for that, it was well staffed and spacious to buy more things. It would have been less crowded at a playoffs San Francisco Giants game. this was the most miserable part of our two-week long travel experience, we lot a day, and lost $200. the staff was unapologetic and lied repeatedly. when we asked about the line time, were told 20 minutes. We were also told "this never happens", except the line ropes were bolted permanently to the ground and the infrsstructure was built to handle a line this long. We were told no line to return from the bridge, but that was not true either. All the staff talk on walkie talkies in real time and the bridge is videotaped -- so there is no possibility for them to say they did not know. Spend your valuable time doing something else!
