Grouse Mountain - The Lumberjack Show was delightful and the grizzly bears impressive. We enjoyed hiking up to one of the summits and then we took the ski lift up to the windmill. We only saw one grouse the entire day, though.

Good hike up - We made the hike up with family with 2 teenagers. It is not recommended for children or persons who are not fit. From the first step it goes up quite a bit and as you get higher, it gets styler. But when you go, it's the fun of doing it as fast as possible. A number of us could have walked it in an hour. I myself was climbing for almost 2 hours. Along the way you have no viewpoints or vistas. But you can rest. Bring enough water and go on (solid) shoes. The trees indicate how far you are (GG 31/40 then you are at 3/4). Upstairs you have a view of the city - on a clear day. There are also some shows, you can eat and drink something (don't expect too much of it) and you can go to the 2 grizzly bears. Further to the top is no added value.

Fun place to visit. Would recommend - Very fun place to stop while visiting Vancouver. The views from the top were incredible. The lumberjack jack was fun to watch, and so was the bird show. Spent just over 3 1/2 hours and probably could have spent more time. Recommend going early as the parking fills us fast and they do cram a to. Of people on the gondola to the top.

Pretty cool. - Nice experience, but crowded. Free things on the mountain was great. Bird show, bear habitat, chair lift.

Splendid- get there early! - Great day out with a 6 year old who loved the whole experience. We read the helpful reviews and got to the lift at 9 am opening of the gondola. Very quiet and lots of room to watch the bear talk, observe the bears, watch the (hilarious and entertaining) lumberjack show, watch the impressive birds of prey display and ride the chairlift. The main chalet was hot, packed, and the food looked and smelt really revolting (think pizza and nachos) - to avoid absolutely. It would also be good to have a picnic area or an ice cream/ coffee concession at the top of the chairlift. We went back down the mountain at 15.00 and the queue was about 20 minutes. Overall good value for money and kept our son entertained for about 6 hours- well done but could be slightly better.

Takes your breath away - Great activity, well run with lots of options to take advantage of other activities while there, for example the lumberjack show. Viewing the bears was amazing to be so close, and the zip lining experience looked awesome, exciting and scary fun. Also enjoyed the cafe and restaurant. The absolute highlight was definitely the gondola ride which just went up and up over the trees and cliffs. Was abit hazy due to the fires but stunning views, and oh the swaying of the gondola…..

Not worth the cost or crowds - It's $85 for an adult round-trip ticket on the skyride. The duration is 6 min up, 4 min down. During August when we went there were probably 50-60 of us packed in there including numerous small children groups attending summer camps. Once up the mountain, a burger is $25. There is so much nature in and around Vancouver that I wouldn't spend the money to go to Grouse Mountain. And from the other review I saw, they are steadily raising the prices so will continue to go up. I would visit other parks and hiking trails which are free and do not have tourists.

Not worth the expense. - This is overpriced for what it is. The gondola and chairlift are old, rusty and worn out. You’re packed in like sardines so view is limited. The lumberjack show is super-cheesy, and the bird show started out cheesy too, although admittedly we didn’t stay for the talk. We did see grizzly bears (sadly for them, in captivity). The view is high but very hazy. I wouldn’t bother. The free shuttle bus is convenient.

Tourist trap - Poorly organised and very disappointing. About 30 people were jammed into the cable car, cheek to jowl, on a warm, 25 degree day. Cable car waited 10 minutes for a helicopter which was doing construction, and making a big noisy dusty mess. It was too hot and unpleasant to stay on the car. The cable car remained there for a further 15 minutes until the helicopter finished. So around a 25 minute wait. Staff, who seemed very junior, did not understand that this was a hazardous and unpleasant experience. Gave up. Oh, and the bus only came every hour, not every 25 minutes as advertised. Not good.
