Up, up and away - When my 85-year-old mother visited me in Perth, she told me she had something on her bucket list that she wanted to tick off: Hot air ballooning, and she wanted me to join her. And I'm glad she did, cos the idea of getting literally into a bucket and helping mum tick it off her bucket list was a wonderful thought. The only downside was that due to the warmer weather, we had to be at the Northam Airfield by 330am. But after that, everything was great to awesome. The balloon Captain and the ground staff were helpful, safety conscious, engaging, and funny. The balloon trip was incredibly memorable, getting up to 7000 feet, going a lot quicker than you would ever feel, and peacefully floating over the bush, paddocks, and streams offering a very different perspective. After the flight, we went for a buffet breaky which was a great way to come down figuratively. Later in the day, after getting back home, we were sent an email with a FREE link for photos and videos captured of our flight to download, giving us the opportunity to share some of our journey with other family members.
All in all, the whole experience has created a lifetime memory. Well worth the money, effort, and time.

A special experience - Everything was super organized, the staff and our very friendly and funny 😊. A unique and special experience. The view and atmosphere during the balloon ride were beautiful 🤩

One to defiantly knock off the life's bucket list - !!Absolutely BRILLIANT!!
The Staff/Crew were very good, explained everything that was going on, with a few cheeky jokes throwing in that broke the ice.
Mrs was a bit nervous a few days leading up to the balloon ride as she doesn't like heights too much, normally on planes she has a hold of my hand squeezing the life out of it, but this morning she couldn't stop taking photos and videos.
Will defiantly be back and with the kid's next time.
Highly recommend this experience to everyone.

Magical - Absolutely amazing and magical experience, interactive, helped with set up and pack up of balloon which added to the whole experience. Normally nervous with heights but wasn't scared at all! Just feels like you are floating on a cloud. My husband and I would definately do this again. Dean was a great pilot, landed us exactly where he said he would. What a way to watch the sunrise.

Great experience! - I had been waiting to go hot air ballooning since a voucher was purchased for me in 2020! This trip didn’t disappoint. The crew were really friendly, everything was explained in advance & the morning ran really smoothly. I enjoyed the set up & helping to pack up just as much as the flight, which was like being in a dream - so quiet when the burners weren’t on, floating with the breeze.
I highly recommend ballooning with Windward to anyone interested in trying out a different mode of transport. Breakfast was great afterwards, as I had a 2am wake up. The sunrise was spectacular.

AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN! - What a wonderful experience! The staff is very friendly and although the flight had to be cancelled a few times because of weather we were always kept up to date and offered new dates. For a person with a fear of heights it was an unbelievable experience.

A surreal and magical experience. - Ballooning in Northam has been on our to do list for a number of years. And we are very glad we finally did it! It was great experience floating gently up in the air before sunrise but with enough light to clearly see the surroundings as we slowly take off. It is magical feeling when you are floating in the air, witnessing sunrise far at field and with a wonderfull birds eye view over the fields, the Avon River.... Everyone in the basket was smiling, taking pictures and whispering quietly as if no one wants to break the magical spell. The landing was extremely precise and smooth, we could see we landed but did not feel a thing. We all felt throughout the flight that we were in the safe hands of an experienced pilot, Dean the owner and operator of Windward Ballooning. We also enjoyed assisting Dean and his friendly crew with the early morning set up of the balloon, which was a bonus to see how an immense big balloon fills up. We all participate in packing up the balloon which was quick and fun. The breakfast and glass/es Champagne was well received

My experience 💝 - The view was breathtaking. All experience was great, from beginning till end. The pilot had a great sense of humour for us who were a bit scared. However, the ride was absolutely calm, unusually peaceful.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. - FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AT ALL. We booked the sunrise trip and champagne breakfast; we paid extra for the breakfast which the description couldn't be further from what you actually receive. After the trip they take you to Dome for an inedible breakfast which is worth about $12. I have tried to contact the company THREE times for their complaints procedure and to advise them they are false advertising to only be ignored. The balloon ride I couldn't fault however DO NOT bother wasting your money on the champagne breakfast.
