Highlights
  • Belfast City Centre - In the afternoon, we head back to Belfast City for a panoramic sightseeing tour. We’ll showcase the highlights of this lively city, including City Hall, the River Lagan, Queen’s University, St Anne’s Cathedral, and the Prince Albert Memorial Clock. After the tour, you’ll have free time for additional sightseeing and shopping if your departure schedule permits. PLEASE NOTE: If your ship departs earlier than usual, we will adjust the itinerary accordingly.
  • Dunluce Castle - We’ll pause for one of Ireland’s most stunning photo opportunities at the magnificent Dunluce Castle. Part of this impressive ruin fell into the sea in the 1600s. The castle, once the stronghold of the McDonnell clan, is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The ocean and North Coast backdrop make this a truly dramatic photo stop!
  • Giant’s Causeway - We allocate ample time at the Giant’s Causeway for you to visit this famous World Heritage Site. It’s a 20-minute walk from the drop-off point to the remarkable Causeway site, but a shuttle bus is available for a small fee, ideal for those who prefer not to walk up and down the steep hill. The hexagonal basalt rocks appear man-made, leading many in Ireland to believe they were carved by the legendary giant warrior Finn MacCool. There’s also a theory that they were formed by volcanic activity 60 million years ago.
  • Causeway Coastal Route - Enjoy breathtaking views as we take a panoramic drive along the North Coast of Antrim, also known as the Causeway Coast. This area is designated by the government as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, featuring rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and stunning views of Scotland.
  • Queen’s University - One of the sites you can visit during your free time in Belfast City.
  • Albert Memorial Clock Tower - One of the sites you can visit during your free time in Belfast City.
  • Belfast Cathedral - The Cathedral Church of St. Anne - One of the sites you can visit during your free time in Belfast City.
  • City Hall - In the afternoon, we head back to Belfast City for a panoramic sightseeing tour. We’ll showcase the highlights of this lively city, including City Hall, the River Lagan, Queen’s University, St Anne’s Cathedral, and the Prince Albert Memorial Clock. Bait and Switch - We signed up for a small group tour. The van never came, we were told we would meet up with them outside the city if we got on a large bus. The van never materialized and we were stuck on a big bus for the day. The Giant's Causeway was great, but we felt deceived. Viator stepped right up and refunded our payment. I was very please with the way they handled the issue. I would avoid this particular bus company, but would recommend Viator.

NOT A LUXURY EXCURSION - The driver/guide was nice, but the company did not provide reliable transportation for him. We knew that we would have problems when the vehicle would not start from the pier. The driver told us that he did not want that vehicle, that he had problems with it before, but management made him take it. It stalled again on the highway and did not provide us with any air conditioning on this very hot day. The driver opened the sun roof, but the 6-8 of us were still sweltering. Once the door did not open, and we had to use the emergency mechanism. As the vehicle was registered in Dublin, management did not want the driver in Northern Ireland after dark since there could be problems. We were scared. While our tour was supposed to last much later, all of us voted to get back to the pier and to go to the ship. It had been a long ride to the Giants Causeway where he dropped us off to walk around. We did not learn much; our driver was not from Belfast and was not knowledgeable about the causeway (just told us a fable that we heard before). He knew little to nothing about Belfast. He drove us quickly through the city. I would recommend getting a Belfast driver/guide for a Belfast excursion. We were very disappointed, and we think that our money should be refunded. It was not worth it: a 2-minute picture of the Titanic museum, 5 minutes at a brewery that was closing, Causeway, and quick ride through town. with the fear of not getting back to the ship before it took off. Money should definitely be refunded. This was NOT a LUXURY experience.
