A highlight of our stay at Uluṟu/Ayers Rock - This tour was a highlight of our 3-day stay in the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park. Apart from showing us the spectacular sunset view of the Kata Tjuṯa formation, our driver Macca provided a wonderful commentary which gave a thought-provoking insight into the sad decline of Aboriginal culture under the debilitating influence of 70 years of Western cultural intrusion into a civilisation that had previously thrived for 35,000 years. He finished by reciting a moving poem by a Northern Territory white man, addressing the tragic consequences of introducing alcohol to the First People of Australia. Many thanks, Macca.

An excellent Kata Tjuṯa experience - The tour was on time and pick-up directly out front of our resort. The driver Andrew was patient, careful, and obviously very experienced. He was like an encyclopaedia of local and other indigenous history and culture. His team mate “Roxy” ably assisted him and she was also friendly and helpful. The canapés and drinks were plentiful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

Beautiful Sunset View from a distance - Kata Tjuta at sunset is beautiful! The tour is very good for people with mobility issues or those who are just tired of walking. I had thought we would be close to Kata Tjuta but, it is really just fa view in the distance and, there was no exploring the area at all. So, my fault for not understanding that. But, I had been up before dawn and hiked around Uluru that morning so, probably not a bad thing! The food was not in any way "gourmet" lol - it was fine but just some packaged things brought out on some trays, don't think there were even small plates. In any case, the stories and info told on the 45 min bus ride were informative and everyone was pleasant. The view, as mentioned, although at a distance, was lovely at sunset. I would book something more of a hike next time but, at least I got out to see it.

A worthwhile experience, but needs some refining - For a start, what you call a half day trip lasted for exactly two & a quarter hours. The bus driver & main commentator, Jess, was fantastic. Her knowledge & recall of it was outstanding & the only reason I gave the trip a 4 ranking. The food & drink service was abysmal. No plates or serviettes. One had to keep returning to a makeshift table to take a biscuit & place some cheese/meat/vege/dip on it. The whole thing was so very BASIC. Of course, the Olga’s at sunset were stunning. That, & Jess, made the trip worthwhile. Dennis, the secondary commentator also performed well.

June experience - The view of Kata Tjuṯa during sunset are something to see. We went in June, flies are a nuisance. We were told they are worse in the heat of summer.
