Additional Information

This tour takes you to the inspiring red-hued sedimentary rock domes of Kata Tjuta to watch the sunset. They are thought to have originally been one huge piece of rock, much like Uluru, that has weathered over millions of years to become an intriguing series of individual formations. As evening approaches, each passing minute brings something new as the domes continue to change colour with the setting sun.

An excellent Kata Tjuṯa experience - The tour was on time and pick-up directly out front of our resort. The driver Andrew was patient, careful, and obviously very experienced. He was like an encyclopaedia of local and other indigenous history and culture. His team mate “Roxy” ably assisted him and she was also friendly and helpful. The canapés and drinks were plentiful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

June experience - The view of Kata Tjuṯa during sunset are something to see. We went in June, flies are a nuisance. We were told they are worse in the heat of summer.

Worth seeing despite the weather - Unfortunatly our trip coincided with storms which are rare in desert, but the trip went ahead and the organisers did their best to make it as enjoyable as possible. Was able to clearly view the sunset time and nice snacks provided.
